How does it Work?

4 Player Solitaire! Nertz is a crazy ninja fast, real-time, multiplayer card game like Solitaire. Nertz (Pounce) is a combination of the card games Speed and Solitaire.

The goal of the game is to play all of your Nertz cards before the other player do. Game play is similar to Solitaire but all players share their Foundation piles and need to play ninja fast to win.

Overview

Nertz can be played with any amount of people; this version plays with 4 players. Each player uses their own deck of cards in a solitaire–style competition that requires speed and skill. The object of each hand is to try to be the first player to call out “Nertz” by getting rid of their thirteen-card Nertz pile. A game of Nertz is played to a score of 100.

After you play Nertz, multiplayer card games like blackjack, solitaire, or poker will feel slow.

Nertz is known by a number of different names: Hell, Nerts, Pounce, Peanuts, Racing Demon and Squinch

    Finally

I have been wanting a good version of Nertz for a long time. I found a few but they were terrible. This version is great! Now I can practice so that I can beat my nephew on our next family vacation. I’ve only played easy and medium. I’ve won a few and lost a few, just like in real life! The ads are fast and don’t bother me. Another reviewer mentioned you couldn’t pause the game, but I’ve been able too. Just wish other phone interruptions, phone calls/texts, didn’t intrude on my game. 😀

    Great game, just one thing.

Game play is great and pretty similar to real life (the competition in the lake is a lot nicer haha). My only suggestion would be that there needs to be some sort of countdown or maybe request for the player to say “flip” like in real life to start the game. It took me quite off guard when I hit the play button and people were already throwing aces down before I’d even looked at my cards. Other than that, great game.

Great game - could be even better!

I love this game and have played it entirely too much. I think there are some tweaks that could make it truly next level. Here are some ideas (mainly just UI features in the main menu, as the gameplay is quite good already): - Show your record from your last five matches. Maybe even show win or lose streaks. I think it would be cool to see how well (or not well) you did in a match. - A chart showing point accumulation at the end of each match. That way you can visualize when you had the lead or how close you were to losing the game. - Alerts when you’ve accomplished a goal, and maybe progress bars. Thanks for making this game - and especially for making it free!

    Well done!

Been a player with real cards and people for the last 20 years and they've captured the game really well. We actually play with an undo rule when flipping the 3 cards too quickly covers a playable card. There's actually a stat for number of undos in the game, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to use it (no mention of it in the instructions).

    Nuts

I have played “Nuts” for years and this game is just like playing with actual cards with multiple players. I would love it even more if there was a way to play with people you know. I have other apps that let you send an invite to people and they hop on their phone and start playing with you. But really a great app for a great game.

    Addicting

First of all I’ve played for an equivalent of 8 hours this week alone. I passed all the achievements except the review (which is why I’m doing this now) and I literally have to play all the time. Best phone game ever. Wish we could play against friends!

    Addicting

I literally cannot stop playing this game. It’s never ending, it’s fun, and you can go at the pace you like. I tried the crazy ninja level but that level is way too hard for me lol. It’s a nice game to play when I have long flights.

    Good app

If you are familiar with the game Nertz and enjoy playing it, this a good app for gameplay. Basic gameplay with 4 levels of difficulty. The only complaint is that it would be nice to pause the game without having to quit the round.

    Great game, couple suggestions

Really fun game. Not too easy like a lot of other nerts apps. It would be really great if they added a multiplayer option where you could connect with other players and play against real people

    Great Game!

I play this game with physical cards ALL the time at family functions and we always have a blast! Now that I've found this app I can play it all the time. Especially when I'm not home with my family!

    Would be 5 stars but...

Would be 5 stars but sometimes the game gets to a point where everyone is stuck and the app doesn’t do anything. Usually if everyone gets stuck, each player takes the top card of their pile and puts it on the bottom. Therefore making the results of drawing three completely different. Fun game, well made orherwise

    POUNCE!!!!

After a family vacation last year, we were all missing our daily Pounce games. My niece found this phone version and we are all totally hooked. The only downside is the ads. I would totally pay to have an ad-free experience. I would give it 5 stars if I had an ad-free option.

    Super fun and addicting

I love this game but I do get frustrated when you drag your card to drop it and unless you line it up perfectly, it falls back and someone else replaces it before you can get to it. In a game of speed this can definitely get irritating. Other then that the app works great.

Great game but has a new glitch

I love this game, but lately after a round of playing, the screen turns black when what presumably is an ad begins. I have to close the app and reopen to resume playing the game. I will give 5 stars if this is fixed because it is great other than this new issue.
