    Amazing Game!

I really enjoy this game and have sunk a lot of time into it this far and still have so much more to go. There is a lot to unlock and, personally, I’m always interested to see what is going to come next. There is one major critique I do have for the game. That is the lack of information the game gives you at some points. Specifically in the stats screens of students and professors. It’s relatively simple what the classes are represented by, but I am still unsure what certain things mean. The smiley face, I assume is motivation. The highest stat for a specific class. But what is the last one? It’s 3 vertical bars that look like a bar graph but what does that mean? There isn’t any type of help of walkthrough that I can find to walk me through what all these mean after the main tutorial.

I really enjoy this game, it has so much potential.

I love this game and other tycoon games by Digital Things. I have invested money into this game as well. I would be open to investing more money into this game later if the game is expanded. I like things in prison tycoon like doing the challenges and having new areas to build prisons in. I would love to see similar things implemented into this game. I prefer building universities over prisons or hotels. Really I would just love to see different settings for universities. For example once you finish the first university you will move to a snowy university, maybe this new university teaches different things with the main things like science, math, and social studies being the same. You could have a university that looks like it is located in the Midwest that teaches agriculture and equine studies. Then you can have a medical school in Washington where it rains and snows. All of these universities start with the same things then branch into different things. Even better maybe you could choose what you want to branch into. Like once you finish all of the basic classes you can chose what you want teach in the next building. Maybe start with just too choices like “do you want to teach Art or medicine” and expand from there. I have many more ideas but this post is already very long. Thanks for reading.

Great Game with Lots of Potential

Only gave this 4 stars because the developers still have some work to do. There is a ton of great content but the game takes forever without spending real money. Seeing you only have one construction team it shouldn’t take 8 hours to build something. At the point I’m at I’m only in the game twice a day for mere minutes. Enough to select research and what to build. It would seem to me you would want people in your game for longer periods and more often. Logic states that would provide more ad revenue? I’m also not sure what the end game looks like. If there is even one? I love the concept of expanding buildings and adding more classes. Would love to be able to expand the different buildings to beyond 4 classes each. Even adding an extra class to each building would be great. Would also like to see more types of classes offered. How about a law school? Or a med school? Maybe even expand on the core classes like English and history? The final thing I would love to see expanded on would be the ability to enter and further expand on buildings like the dorms (adding furniture to rooms or building a common area to study). Beyond all this just keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing where this game goes.

    So far so good

This game has great potential, and it already has reached some. However, I’m sure other players have also reported the problem of the amount of time it takes to progress in the game. Of course, you get loads of gems from completing tasks in order to speed up building times, but I have a few more suggestions. First of all, you should be able to speed up building times at least a couple (maybe around five) times a day by watching and advertisement. Second of all, as you progress further into the game at a certain point another building team should be unlocked. A bonus suggestion is to have more classrooms fitted into each building. However, it is important to note that the game is still in a development process and is not completely completed, as it is still updating regularly. I hope the developers will take player suggestions into consideration whilst still in this stage, so the game can have better reviews and less critiques, therefore a further reach globally and more revenue for the developers to continue adding things into the future. This is a long review, and my final point is that I am enjoying this game and hope it goes into a further stage of development soon.

Improved, but still mostly the same.

Don’t get me wrong, this game is still very fun however there are parts of the game that reduces that fun factor. The money cap (how much you can store before you have to upgrade the “bank”) and the long waiting times make the game feel super slow. That’s right, you have to wait for every single thing you upgrade which to me, sounds like they are trying to tempt you to spend gems (which you shouldn’t do ever). Along with the fact that you can only upgrade one building at a time without paying actual money contributes to slow feeling of progression. But there are some good things about this also. For the first time, there is a research tree where you can invest in which upgrades you want to do. Cash is easy to get, so much that you don’t even know what to do with it because you can’t spend it due to the lack of builders. Gems are also fairly easy to get and can be used to buy professors. It’s also nice to see that you can open a free professor pack every 6 hours or so. Besides a few changes to upgrading mechanics and how you run this business, it’s still pretty much the same as any other recent tycoon made by Codigames.

    It’s great! I like it, but…

Don’t get me wrong it’s a great game and I really like it! Yet there are definitely somethings that’s can be worked on. Firstly the building crew, I can’t seem to wrap my ahead around only having one and having to pay real money to get more, all I see it as is a cash grab, I play prison tycoon, and I LOVED that game I spent the money to get the all in one bundle because I saw it was worth it. I still hop on waiting for the next prison so I can play it but in that game the building staff was way better. And I’m not really seeing a worth to buying the all in one bundle this game offers. And while one the topic of building the wait times are extremely too long. It makes me not wanna stay on the game and play, right now all I see it as is a- get on, upgrade, get off- type of game. Other than that there could be a few tweaks here and there such as- can we make hiring professors a little more clear in the beginning, it might just be me but I didn’t really understand it. Other than that the game is great! Again I loved prison tycoon and this is a lot like it, and I’m hoping to love this one too.

    For the future

I love this game and it’s a good tycoon too. But I still would say that it needs some work. This is just me but one thing maybe you dev team can have is on the a more music aspect to it like maybe a university band or so and it can be as big as you want. Also on sports maybe a aspect of away and home games like football, basketball, etc. maybe a range of new locations and new classes and I mean a large variety of classes. Even that theatre and drama classes. Maybe a football stadium. When it comes to sports and even band you can decide what money you put into those. With foot ball of course equipment, gear, and for band you could make it endless possibilities because if band is say 50 members you have to respond to the bands needs such as instruments, music, and of course instruments. This is all over the place but still I think these could be great additions to this game

Great game, could go more in depth.

Overall a splendid game although I feel the sentiments of things taking too long. It’s engaging, cute, and requires some strategy. I also feel there was a missed opportunity here: it would have been nice to have levels of schools and difficulty: community college, state school, and up. It would have been interesting to move locations and be presented with scenarios (harsh winters means students are slower/ need dorms, etc.) The ability to add in a graduate school, having to build a transport system around the college, maybe some buildings for clubs, a student health hospital, etc. If it was modeled after the prison game, I feel I wouldn’t have noticed the time as much, since past a certain point there would be enough to do while things built. Schools in different countries would have been fun, options to choose what kind of food to serve in canteens, etc.

    Enjoyable to an Extent

Starting off, this game is great because you get to expand your campus with buildings and other decoration items, but after a while it stagnates and quickly becomes something you check once or twice a day with little noticeable change made. Research and building starts to take multiple days to finish, and when you can only build one thing at a time (without paying extra for additional ‘teams’), interest is lost quickly. Obviously, it’s an idle player game so I do not expect to have constant engagement, but when I can go days without looking at it and then come back feeling as if nothing has changed, it loses appeal. I have also noticed that once you hit a certain milestone in the competitions, you can’t win anymore. Regardless of how good my students are and how low the competition ‘difficulty’ is, I only ever seem to place 4th, if I place at all. Is this a glitch or intentional? Generally, a decent idle game, but is very obviously a money grab after a short while of playing.

A great game save for one major bug

For the most part I love this game. I’ve invested money into it and it’s addicting, however, there’s one major bug that I keep running into, and it’s how the timer won’t always move forward if you turn the game off for long periods of time. I set up an eight hour upgrade on the dean’s building, went to sleep by turning off the phone without turning off the app, and when I woke up eight hours later I still had the eight hours remaining, and the same goes for a three hour upgrade I also set up on another building. I have no idea how this could’ve happened, since the game did still deduct eight hours from the remaining time for the current book fair event, but it also didn’t earn any category points! Once again, I love this game, but this bug has prevented me on more than one occasion from playing for a whole day due to long upgrades not processing. Please fix this ASAP!

    Agree with the other reviews

I have to agree with the other lower star reviews. I’m a fan of Codigames and have probably played every one of their games but this one... is not it. There really is no strategy other than keeping a balance between building classrooms and leisure activities. This is the type of game where you log in, build and research something that probably takes 3 hours, log out and then log back in later in the day to do it all over again. There’s seriously no point to spend more than 2-4 mins in the game at any given time unless you plan to spend all your gold to upgrade everything and eventually real money to keep it going. If the point of this game is to play the “long game,” then it has succeeded. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a terrible game. It’s actually pretty fun at first but when you’ve played their other games, the bar is set a bit higher.

    Wasted opportunity

This game has so much potential to be a really great game but the greed for money is a huge hinderance. This game is nothing but a build, upgrade and wait game. You use the game money to build/upgrade and then you wait for it to finish. There is no other substantive gameplay outside of that. It’s ridiculous that a game based around building things to make progress will only allow players 1 builder. That means you can only build one thing at time unless you use gold. Three builders will cost you real money. Getting better professors will cost you real money unless you wait practically a whole real day (can hinder your school’s progress). The winning formula for any successful game is that if players have fun and enjoy the game, they will be more than willing to pay reasonable prices with real money. It shouldn’t be the other way around in that players have to spend real money in order to have fun playing a game. I have had this game less than 2 days and I’ve already decided to uninstall it. I thought this game was going to be absolutely exciting because I’ve always wanted a tycoon-like university game that I can truly design/customize and not feel limited. This game is not that game.

    Such a Disappointment

Phenomenal game. Love the graphics, easy to understand, and very addictive in the beginning. Like a LOT of other comments the game glitched out which forced me to delete and restart the game. And it is true, I have had the game three days and I can only “upgrade” once or twice a day which makes it a rather boring game. I have found better games that are more rewarding. If you are looking for ways to make the game more engaging. Reduce the “free money” from Ads and allow players to add additional builders for A. Cheaper (not that I pay to play games) B. Using jewels (300 for the first builder increasing by fifty jewels for each additional builder) C. By accomplishing tasks (building the Department of Art, then Department of Sports and so on). I have never had an issue paying for upgrades as the cash is too abundant which increases the frustration of having one builder. And please stop copying and pasting the 1 response you have given. At least have two or three that kinda relate to the review. Otherwise people will not review your product (which you need for improvements). Please consider some updates mentioned above and I thank you for your time.

    It needs improvement

Overall the game is fun. I personally enjoy games that are more long term than games that you can finish in a week. That said, this game is VERY long term, too much in my opinion. The requirement of construction crews for everything really slows down progress in an annoying way. You basically play the waiting game for everything. It would be great if we’re were able to buy at least one more crew for gems or in game cash so you could progress a little faster. Also there are some quality of life things that are annoying too. For example you have to tap on the building and then the room in order to upgrade it then go back in order to tap on another room. You should be able to tap on a different room from the room screen. Also the research tree layout is hard to navigate with having to scroll through branches to get to the ones you can buy. It’s also in a weird order so the subsequent upgrades are in different branches. There are positives though. The graphics are cute and the mechanics in the game are complex without being too complicated
