    Underrated as heck!!!

This game is amazing. You have the option to buy items but really that ruins the fun. The grind isn’t boring and there’s a lot to do. This is NOT an idle game, there are time objective tasks like canning jam or making feed for your animals, but other than that a lot of it is much like Stardew Valley really (but a lot easier) The dialogue is a little rough because the creators are Chinese I think? But either way it isn’t unbearable and you get what it’s trying to say. This game is worth the download and SUPER fun. It’s up there with my favorite games like Animal Crossing (especially since the devs haven’t put out much great content lately). In summary: this game is super cute, it has lots of design options to make your farm ✨aesthetic✨ and it’s not money hungry. It’s a fair balance and just hard enough to keep you from getting bored, but not enough to quit out of frustration. One suggestion I will give you is implementing an auto save feature! That’s pretty much my only critique. Thank you so much for making this beautiful game. I’ve been having so much fun ❤️

    Extremely well made! Very adorable.

I never write reviews for games but I felt it necessary for Harvest Town. I feel as though people compare all cute farming RPG’s to Stardew Valley, I’ve been seeing a lot of bad reviews on how Harvest Town is a Stardew Valley ripoff but in reality Stardew Valley is a ripoff of Harvest Moon & a poor one at that. Having played all of these games fully - If anything Harvest Town is better then Stardew valley, it has much more resemblance to the Harvest Moon games which gives me so much nostalgia. The backdrops in Harvest Town are so intricate & I love the character designs so much. The map is huge and there is so much to do. I highly recommend trying it out. Comparing Harvest Town to Stardew Valley not knowing what Harvest Moon is should be sought at as ignorant. Any-who, 5/5 the team who worked on this did amazing, of course there are bugs and maintenance issues but that shouldn’t deface the games worth. If you love the Harvest Moon franchise as much as I do or just love video games full of charm then this is the game for you!

    Not a ripoff

Look, to call this game a stardew valley ripoff would be to call stardew valley a harvest moon rip-off. This game is like many other farming rpg sims in that yes, it has farming. It also has other key characteristics that people love in these sorts of games: romance and fighting (Granted Harvest moon doesn’t nessecarily have the fighting mechanic). Just because this game has those aspects does not make it a ripoff of stardew valley or harvest moon. It has its own original story, characters, and mechanics. It’s a fantastic game. It’s got honestly a lot of mechanics I wish stardew valley had (ie. Auto running to a location when tapping on the map, tapping a quest for it to take you there, etc.). If your in search of a game that reminds you of all the other farming simulators you love then look no further. Because we all know you played stardew valley because you love harvest moon, why can’t you play harvest town because you loved stardew valley?

Tons of Fun & The Ability to Make Friends, BUT….

The push to buy “Diamonds” is very heavy and hen they are COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY to enjoy and advance in the game, which is very annoying! In the Menu screen there are multiple tabs and MOST OF THEM are advertising their different sales on items, but mostly DIAMONDS. WHICH- BTW!! I spun the wheel and won 30 Diamonds; I HAD 397, the 30 SHOULD HAVE taken me to 427- but my total stayed where it was. I have not spent any money on this app, and I don’t intend to, HOWEVER!! In the past 8 DAYS I have sunk hours and HOURS into this game, if the developers do not respond to me here OR to the message I will write later on one of their social media outlets (which is the only way to contact them according to the game) I WILL delete the app and change my rating to 1 ⭐️.

    Love it!

I downloaded this game expecting another boring idle sim but this was so much better than I was expecting. I’m a big fan of Stardew Valley and this has a lot of similar aspects but also brings a lot of its own interesting concepts and content. You can pay for things if you want but I’ve found it’s super easy to progress through gameplay alone. The only major issue to me is the dialogue. I think this game is Chinese so it is translated into English and sometimes quest stories or NPC dialogue is really hard to understand fully and personally causes a disconnect between myself and the story. I am hoping with future updates the translation will get better. Otherwise I definitely recommend. The amount of content for a free game like this is amazing.

    I absolutely love this game!!

This game is so fun! I played this first and really liked it so I wanted to try out Stardew Valley because it got such good reviews. I really wanted to like SV because I wanted to play it on my switch with buttons. But honesty to me SV is REALLY slow process and I really didn’t like it (it’s just not for me). To me Harvest Town is so much better! I love how you can just tap on the map where to go and your person will just go there. And also I love how you can craft things without having the materials on you (your stuff can just be in your chest and you can craft it anywhere!) Love all the free things you get by watching ads! You honesty don’t need to spend real money to advance in this game. But for me, since I love this game so much I don’t mind spending money on this game and I also want to support the makers. The one thing I don’t like is how it takes forever for a monster to drop its materials. But other than that I don’t really have much complaints. I really don’t write reviews but I just want people to know how great this game is and it needs to be noticed! Thank you so much for making an amazing game!

    I like it

I wanted to play something similar to harvest moon since I’ve always loved it. But couldn’t really find any game close to it. I saw stardew valley, but idk..Harvest Town caught my eye more. And honestly, I love this game. You don’t have to worry about too many NPC, and other online players. I also joined their Facebook group and everyone’s super helpful and friendly. You usually don’t get that in a lot of gaming groups. Sadly to say. The only downside I would say to the game is, the main quest. They’re updating it right now so you’re just kinda stuck, doing side quests. Which in turn isn’t bad. But overall, I’d recommend this game to others who like harvest moon. 10/10

    Underrated

I think this is a great game I spent a lot of hours playing it, spent time collecting coins and diamonds to get certain items, story progression, making friends with the townies, decorating and building out my farm. It’s a really great game it’s relaxing and fun. However I warn you to bind your game. Their was a recent bug that caused me to not be able to log in, I was told to reinstall the game and upon doing so lost all of my progress and work. I’m really disappointed with this and I don’t think I’ll be able to play for a long time. So while I think this is an amazing app make sure to bind your account and save your progress frequently so you don’t lose it.

If you loved Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley, you'll Love this game

I'm SHOCKED this game is free to play for the amount of content this beautiful little game has. The amount of love, time, and effort put into this game is evident from the get-go. And unlike most farming sim games, energy is not a constraint here: you can farm, mine, battle, and forage to your hearts content within the given day. I'm quite frankly blown away by this quaint little game and I have to give huge kudos to the developers. You've made an extremely gorgeous game and practically given it away for free. Play this game, tell everyone you know about it, and support these developers. They really deserve it.

    I love this game however,...

I love this game I’ve been addicted to it more than Stardew valley and a great way to pass the time while waiting for the new Story of Seasons to come out. I do love it’s not a SV ripoff it’s doing it’s own thing. The orders and machines that go by real-time is great but also annoying when you get addicted like me and can play for many in game days at a time. But I mean it’s a mobile game. I am seeing a lot of deals tho and thing for cheap on the banners so it gives me hope that this isn’t going to be “P2W” type of mobile game. However some things I don’t like and a few bugs. It take forever to get past the copper level in the mines. There is a huge gap between the silver and copper levels that’s a bit annoying. One bug is sometimes the animals never go back inside the coop even after ringing the bell and leaving it ringing. Another thing on the animals is since we can’t push them or go over them they sometimes lock me inside or outside the coop for a few hours and that’s a bit annoying when I’m trying to get on with the rest of the day. I’m also seeing we need a item to go on a date and while I’m not that far into it I did explore the shop and saw the items needed to date and get married on there a bit pricey. I hope I don’t have to buy these items on the cash shop and can grind out the items in the game.

    Great game, needs one thing!

Hello! This is truly a lively game. I love the villagers and the interactions. I greatly appreciate the love and work you have put in your game! With that said, there is something I feel empty about. Perhaps I am not far enough in the game…but I’m sad so far it hasn’t talking about my character’s family. I honestly would prefer it to stay that way. It would be nice if we could have like-families though. There’s families in the game, for example John Gray and his granddaughter, Peach, it would be nice if you could get to a certain heart and they’d become like-family. Walk you down the wedding ail, invite you to family events, invite you for dinner, drop by your house, etc. Which reminds me, it would be nice if the other characters, npcs, were to try to become your friend without you even trying. It would be totally random. Sometimes characters would get a crush on you and try harder to see you, etc. Or other characters could just want to be your friend and drop by asking if you want to come to their place for dinner or something close to it. I think this would make the game come to life! Whether you read this or not, thank you. This is a wonderful heartfelt game. Have a good day!

    Recommend!

As I first installed it, it was awesome! It’s like a mobile/free version of ‘Stardew Valley’. They have no ads! The only way to receive ads from this game is by watching them to get easier and better deals in the game. The reason why I given this game 4 stars is because of the many buttons in the screen. They really distract me from completing different quests and some might just be unnecessary. My idea Is to add a little ‘hide buttons’ (except for the game setting) So it can be easier to stay focused and not have to many things all over your screen! I totally recommend playing this game if you don’t or can’t get stardew valley. This is the best mobile game I have ever downloaded. Thank you for reading!

    It’s awesome until..

This game is awesome! It reminds me a bit of Stardew Valley but with an asian spin on things. Harvest Town is very fun…until you unlock the Occult Cave. “Drop rates” for important materials in the game, such as heart stones and glue, are ridiculously low. Not only do you need these items for crafting but you need them for quests and the logistics hub. You have to kill 50 enemies before getting a drop from a monster. Forget about crafting bombs to kill the slime since you can’t get glue and heart stones easily. These are common enemies, too. I think an update messed up the drop rates. The luck system is bugged too. If you fish or go into the cave on a SUPER lucky day you don’t see any difference. You still don’t get many drops and you still don’t get treasure chests from fishing, even on a lucky day! If these things were fixed I’d give Harvest Town 5 stars hands down. Keep in mind, You can’t buy these materials from a shop whenever you want to, which is what makes it absurd. Once this is fixed, I will change to 5 stars.

Don’t waste your time. Money hungry owner, boring game.

The knock off stardew valley basically exploited all of concerned Ape’s ideas and now using it to break the pockets of the people who want to freely play. They ran out of ideas so the game is at a complete standstill. They make you pay for everything and update things like: decorations, marrying characters, and new color of seeds. Nothing beneficial. I paid for things and also play for free but if you want to progress in the game it’s not possible. I played the beta version and feel like it was used to see what players would be most likely to pay for. But for players like me who like to grind. Complete quests, mine, and cave dwell you just wander aimlessly. Stick with stardew valley whom they copied. Or try another game until this review is updated. They are looking for newbies who wanna pay to play. Charge for the game and allow new updates or maybe everyone will begin leaving one star reviews via 15k members in groups.
