Incredible and Highly Addictive Game of Skill

This is a truly special game. Hats off to the developer for building a seemingly simple game that is endlessly entertaining and complex. There’s no in-game purchases or ads.. this is just a highly rewarding disc golf experience that will have you coming back again and again to improve your scores and tackle those incredibly challenging courses. The physics are great and capture the essence of the sport. There’s just enough randomness it’s more about developing a feel for each disc and it’s attributes than it is charting a specific power & aim formula for each shot. When you’re disgusted over an unfortunate roll down the hill after an apparently perfect tee-shot, you just might find yourself rethinking the same shot for next time... maybe landing on a hillside is too risky, look for flat ground instead. It’s been awesome to see this game get the attention it deserves. There’s thousands playing daily, and communities on FB & Reddit are growing exponentially. I highly recommend downloading this game and earning that Pro Rating, it won’t be easy.

    Incredible

This is an incredible disc golf game, the best on the App Store to date. Per (the developer) constantly is updating the game with courses, discs, tournaments and other features. The rounds are nine holes for the most part. It does take time to level up and get some of the best discs in the game but unlike a lot of games you don’t have to purchase anything to compete though there are some in app purchases that can be done for special stamps or exclusive discs at the moment, but these don’t give an unfair advantage. The only advantage you can gain in a purchase at this time is an extra bag slot from buying one of the packs. The courses are well designed and creative, and there is a process of real courses being added in the future and it does feature Emporia as a real course right now. Highly recommend to anyone curious about disc golf or that is a fan of the game.

    Very bad mechanics, good potential

I can list off so many problems with this game. Wind isn’t consistent at all, the sliding of the discs on the grass is incredibly unrealistic, drop zones and re-throws often don’t work, you can phase through the ground and rocks if placed a certain way, disc flight often isn’t consistent, the left and right stretching isn’t very effective, the putting mechanic is almost unusable at points, etc. This game feels like it was made 4 years ago and put together in a month or so. I also wish the variety of throws was better too. If you haven’t downloaded this game and are reading this, don’t waste your time. If there were some improvements to the realism/mechanics of this game, I would probably continue to play, but this doesn’t update very often.

    Awesome

This game was clearly made by someone with a passion for disc golf, and it’s currently the best disc golf game mobile or not. The physics feel consistent and fair, and that’s the most important part. Multiplayer is easy and quick. There are no ads (unless you count the Latitude64 sponsorship which isn’t in your face at all) and no in-app purchases. There are some things that could be a little more polished and it can take a while to build up your bag and really start throwing good rounds, but none of it really hurts the general enjoyment of playing. If you’re unfamiliar with disc golf you might be a little confused by some of the disc golf terms, but if you just chuck the discs around you’ll figure it out pretty quick. Absolutely worth a try.

Fun and addicting but unrealistic physics

Update: with the latest update to the game some of the physics are more realistic. And some appear to be worse. A 15’ putt that hits center chains doesn’t consistently spit back out IRL. This is definitely a fun game and I’ve spent hours playing because it is so addictive. There are some really frustrating aspects though to include unrealistic physics. This includes a disc going completely through the bases of trees or ricocheting many times, over a hundred feet in a different direction after landing so that suddenly what looked like a good shot is out of bounds. Also, the game doesn’t allow you to putt if you are too close to trees or bushes. Beyond those things it is well worth the cost of free!

    Physics Issues

Often discs do not follow their descriptions. This is mostly due to the wind physics, I find. After rewatching numerous screen captures, I’ve noticed that sometimes the wind has a small effect, sometimes it has no effect, and other times it has a preposterous effect. The wind gauge on the side has very little to do with this and I often have discs (wind break) that are still pushed comically around by 1 mph winds. It’s frustrating to throw a line that is pushed so far to the side by wind it hits a tree or water hazard when there was hardly wind and thrown with a hyzer. If there is an “unpredictability” algorithm in place, it’s activation percentage is far too high. After grinding out over two dozen levels of multiplayer, I know for a fact when a disc is supposed to turn, especially if it’s a wind break extra glide Anchor I’ve used almost every basket for 10+ levels. Also, please work on the hit boxes for trees. Sometimes I pass straight through the leaves with no effect and other times I miss a tree by a meter and still throw leaves all over.

    Lovely Game, needs more variety

I really enjoyed the look and feel of this game. As an avid disc golfer, it helped me pass some time while getting a taste of something I enjoy. That being said, after sinking hours and hours into the game and solving the majority of the star puzzles, my disc bag contained essentially the same discs that I started with. Making the same shot, on the same course, with the same discs got really old after about two days. The developer really needs to allow players to expand their bag quicker so it feels rewarding to play. For example, my reward for passing levels four and five in the tournament mode were all base model explorers, just in different colors. Six “rewards” that were functionally they same and matched something I already had. Not to mention it takes anywhere from 10-15 minutes to complete a tournament that will only get you from 10-30% of the experience needed to level up. So, I spent about two hours for nothing...That’s when I stopped playing and probably won’t return.

    Has potential, needs discs

It’s so frustrating to play games that have parts that you really enjoy but then do things that completely frustrate you. The graphics are ok, it’s a mobile game so my standards aren’t too high. The controls for throws outside of putting are fine, but that’s pretty much where the positives end. The putting is terrible, skips are ridiculous, the infinite rolls are laughable and the chains feel like they’re made of rubber. Worst of all though is the disc selection. Latitude 64 should be ashamed at how poorly they are represented here. You could play this for a year and probably get the same disc 70% of the time and it’s almost a certainty that it won’t be a driver. Give us a basic starter set that has a putter, a mid and a DRIVER! Then let us build from there, heck you could even charge $ for disc sets with custom stamps and I’m sure people would buy them, I would. It’s free so give it a shot and then come back here to vent your frustrations, then maybe they’ll fix it.

    Log In glitch

I used to play this game all the time and I had leveled up a lot and collected almost 100 discs. I was using a google log in on iOS and recently there is a glitch when I try to sign in. When I click on my account it glitches and takes me back to the log in screen. This is extremely frustrating because it is impossible for me to play with the account that has all of the discs and experience on it. I have tried to log in with other google accounts as well and they do the same thing. I have confirmed my password many times so this is not a forgotten password issue. I really want to play the game and all of the new courses but it won’t let me use the account that has all of my discs on it. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me out if I’m doing something wrong because I love this game and I want to give it 5 stars. I can’t play because of this glitch and it is making me very sad.

    The update

Wow when I first started playing this game it was the best disc golf app here. Sense then it got an update. I keep trying to play the game after the update but the disc characteristics are not even close to what a disc actually does in real life. Making it frustrating and closing the app and stop playing. Example, the disc will spin in the basket for 3 seconds then spit it out to the ground. Some of the holes are like playing in a storm with the wind. How about making the holes a lot longer to make them harder. Or making your character upgradeable like stronger and teaching him new skills? Please work on disc characteristics of the game thanks. Yet another new update for improved disc characteristics and they are even worse. Starting to wonder if the developer has ever played disc golf in real life. Dropped a star after the newest update. Just buying my time not caring if I score good waiting for the game to get better again!!!!!!

    OK, close to good

I had high hopes after seeing pros and ams talking about this game on YT. There are however, a few problems. The physics can be frustrating with strange roll aways and odd catches. Only discs with big skip will really skip at all. Putting should be more consistent when manually selected within 90 feet. The biggest problem however is distance drivers. They seem to be so incredibly rare, and there are some holes with OB that are otherwise impossible to get in bounds without one. The pros are good course designs, great chain hit sound effects and decent flight physics, although there have been a few instances that I’ve manually switched from forehand to backhand only to have the disc veer hard right with little to no wind and a hyzer angle selected. All things considered, this game has excellent potential and backing from a big name in the sport, so I expect good things to come.

Please revert the moon gravity disc physics

Alright, my local courses are closed due to social distancing regulations so I have a lot of hours in on this game. The new update has absolutely broken it. I had one roll away where the disc stayed on edge for about 200’ and then stood still on its edge for about 2 seconds at the water’s edge and then magically jumped into the water where it then completed its spin out. I screen captured the replay, hoping I could post it in the review, but alas, I don’t see the option. The number of times I have thrown into the chains for the disc to do its spin out physics still high in the chains and then jump 10’ out of the basket AFTER the spin out finished is ridiculous. When the update came out, I thought, “ok, just need to put in the hours to understand the new physics.” But after several hours, it is still completely unpredictable and unreliable. The new physics have rendered the game unplayable in my humble. Bit of a tragedy because this was my disc golf fix for the interim.

Peace of crap. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

Don’t even bother with this piece of crap. The physics on this game seem like they were created by a two year old. Literally threw the same shot on a redo and bounced completely different. There are times putting when you have a head wind and the disc drops like a stone and others where you have a tailwind and the disc goes over the basket and flys dang near forever when it was a stupid putt. Pretty much got that one backwards. The selection of discs are pretty much all the same. They give you crap discs even when you get three stars on a course... I got the same putter over and over again with little difference from the others. Same with the mid range and fairway drivers. Never saw a distance driver once, which is beyond ridiculous considering some of the holes they make you do. If you want to waste data, go ahead and get this game. Otherwise, I wouldn’t even bother downloading this game. Update: Gave them one more try, and still a piece of crap. They haven’t fixed a dang thing. Had a disc that was turning right, landed on the ground and slid, then turned left without hitting a thing, which put it ob. This game is horrible. Don’t bother.

Super fun at start, but gets awful quickly

Games doesn’t have the best physics or graphics, but the gameplay itself is amazing fun, for a while. But after you star most of the single player rounds, you aren’t able to get many discs, especially drivers which are essential to the later maps. Along with this the tournaments are fun, but stupidly hard, as the AI seem to counter your score so you lose every time, even in the lowest tier. I saw this when I first played, and scored a -10, and the best score from the ai was -12. Then I play one more time, shoot a -14 which is really good, and the AI not only exactly birdies the holes that I do, they start throwing in eagles when you get ahead which is absurd, leading them to litterally go -10 down on 9 holes, ending with the score of -16. Along with this there is very little disc selection, and as I said before, no drivers to be seen. It is also extremely hard to get enough gold from tournaments to pay for the way overpriced discs in the shop, which just killed the game for me within about 2 hours.
