    Hidden side is awesome

I like the game but you know the bigger ghosts well I can’t get them and I don’t know why do you have to pay money or do you have to play for a long time to get them! It’s really funny how they tell how they died like grandma Winnie and here cat whiskers! I love it and my brother has it and plays it whenever he can he really wants captain Archibald idk why but he does I love it so much especially since you can be the hunter or the ghosts! I’m usually the ghost but whichever one I play is top fun! I’ve leveled up all my characters on it and always play, and my bro every time we see a set he always asks fo one so do I ! I like that they are funny and sometimes a little creepy but that’s good cause what’s a ghost without a little creepiness! I also love how you can scan the set and watch it come alive it’s super cool! Whenever I’m on electronics I always play this its funny scary awesome... I have no words for the app! Thanks for making this game! Happy ghost 👻 hunting

    It won’t let me download...?

Hello! I hope you are having a wonderful day or night I got a set just today and it looks super fun! And I finished a couple minutes ago and I wanted to download the app, so I went to AppStore and searched for it I download it (tried to download) and for some reason it won’t work so I deleted some apps I didn’t care about because I realized I didn’t have enough storage. I closed the App Store and I searched hidden side again and it popped up and it had the downloading thing this may not be your fault but if there is way to help me please do if there’s not a way it’s perfectly fine. There maybe a problem with AppStore so I’m sorry for bothering but the set is amazing that’s why I gave you five stars because everyone deserves five stars especially You guys! Thank you for reading this and please get back to me as soon as you can, thank you!

    Ghost Bustin’ Just got Better!

This game is VERY good, and is entertaining for hours! I bought the Newbury High-school set and it works great! The unique gameplay mechanics make it fun for all ages, and collecting unique ghosts of different types is fun. The play set comes to life with special animations covering over the clock, computer, and small little details make it seem like reality. The color wheel function is fun for interactivity in the play set, and a ghost zoo is a perfect mode for displaying ghosts or viewing your collection. Complaints: -Sometimes the AR misaligns, and it’s hard to straighten it every now and then. -When a set is set to face one side it’s hard to access the functions of the other side with the AR -The numbers next to certain icons on the bar menu bug me when I want to save up my gloom for a challenge but nonetheless it’s giving me a nice guide on what to do. Suggestions: -There could be a mode in which you can re-arrange your set and place your ghosts and use filters to make pictures -Increase the ghost mode’s graphics, they look slightly sloppy -Add a mini figure scanning feature in order to collect bios of your favorite characters Score: 4.7/5 Very nice! Could use a little touch up, but other than that it’s perfect!

Lit, but needs fixing for Ghost Train

I have been trying to collect all of Season 1. I even have the Newbury High School! However, when I try to scan the Ghost Train Express, one of three things happen. The first: it can’t scan it. The second: it ends up scanning a chunk of the background instead of the actual train, meaning I can’t turn the wheel and search for gloom. The third: it works. However, it is rare that the third circumstance will actually happen. I have beaten two boss ghosts, leveled up my phone to OP status, and have most of the ghosts, but cannot scan this set. I really want to fight the Bawa. I am a huge fan of the app. Could you please fix my game, Lego? PS the multiplayer update gives the game a whole new perspective, and gives me a reason to save up my Spirit. Thanks, guys!

    Awesome Spooky Game

This game was very fun, interactive, and interesting and I loved how you could do many things. I also liked how you could choose your role as a ghost or a hunter because in most games, you can only be one thing. This game was fantastic and I feel like it was an extremely original game so it wasn’t copied off of another game. However, one tiny problem I want to mention that wasn’t so good about this game was getting used to the controls of the game. This game was very nice because it had many things in it but as a beginner, it could be hard to get used to these controls and everything at first. Overall, though, I have to say that this game is one of my favorite spooky games and it was very fun to be able to capture ghosts and be one too. 😌👻✨

    Absolutely amazing!!

For a huge LEGO fan/collector this idea was absolutely brilliant! I love spooky things along with a great story, which this definitely accomplishes! Being able to bring legos to life and virtually complete against others is out of this world! It’s a must get for kids and adults alike!! I hope we get a 2021 wave of new products! You get your money’s worth of bricks with these sets as well, along with many assorted mini figures like no other! P.S. thank you LEGO company for keeping me sane during this pandemic. I try and get a new set a week to build with my little brother! It’s brought family and bonding time for us. We are usually up till 2am building and playing, forgetting all about what’s outside. From the bottom of my heart thank you for all you bring to us!

    My thoughts on hidden side

Hello, I just love hidden side! I have almost every set! I just need four of the new ones. I think the scanning, hunting, fighting, and de glooming. All of those other things are fun too. I’ve been thinking, It would be nice if when you’re about to scan a set but you don’t have that exact set you can just do a weird version of it where it shows the set but you don’t have to put on mini figs and don’t have to make the colors, yellow, red, and blue. I’ve also thought, what if you could make a multiplayer ghost hunt. So basically you and your friends can all be ghost hunting against two or three ghosts. I think that would be fun. Well, anyways, I think that hidden side is a very fun game but maybe there could be some updates to the game

    Great game

So I’ve had this game for a while and I LOVE IT SO MUCH one thing I think is cool about it is that if you don’t have a set you can still play another thing I like is how the ghosts look because if you look at a mini figure the only details are like stickers and some other stuff but the ghosts look different which is great because they could make it basic but they did not which is great although I would like to be able to have a friends list and look at ghosts I don’t have and find out how to get them I also like how each ghost is different over all this is a great game although there are some other things that might be good to add (also are you coming out with another wave of sets?)

Great start, but could be better

As an AFOL and mobile gamer, I have been enjoying this app! I downloaded the game for use with the ‘Shrimp Shack Attack’ set, and have enjoyed both the physical and virtual features. The gameplay was a little confusing at first, with the tutorials being a tad confusing. The hunter side is incredibly fun, as it brings the set to life, adding expression and mystery. The variety of different traps and challenges keep me wanting to use the set again and again. As for the ghost side, I believe this part could be a bit more polished. The controls seem to not respond on occasion, and some of the aim mechanics make finding and hitting the targets more difficult (I’m looking at you, graveyard hedge!). I also think the ghost selection and viewing screens could be better. A filter system would help in searching for ghosts with specific powers. The ability to rotate the ghosts’ models and see their attack animations would also be a welcome addition. These spirits have so much character, and I feel like they should get some more attention. Overall, this app has a great framework and potential to be a really impressive game. However, a few quality of life improvements would really go a long way in bringing the Hidden Side to life.

    Decent, but unintuitive

As an AFOL, I was initially skeptical about Hidden Side when they first came out for several reasons and by some of the early reviews, I am glad I waited. I just hope this doesn’t go the way of LEGO Dimensions, get people into it and then pull the plug 1.5-2 years into what was promised to be 3 years of development and sets. Just got 2 sets and have built one so far and trying the app. Initial game play is not intuitive and confusing. Gun overheats far to quickly (programmed for slower tappers??) and when scanning minifigs, I can scan the same physical minifig multiple times and it doesn’t register the actual minifig, but gives me some random in-game ghost sometimes a new one and sometimes one that I have already found. I have yet to try a non-Hidden Side minifig. More QA and edge-case testing needed. (Note. I spent 14 years as a software QA engineer for an enterprise database company). I would have thought that scanning the minifigs would mean bringing the physical minifigs from the set into game play and that is not what is actually happening

    Where’s the Juice Bar?

My friend and I recently bought a pair of deluxe LEGO sets online, and when it arrived in the mail, the sets came with the Newbury Juice Bar set, which advertises the app game on the cover, and shows the set being used with the app. We built the set, downloaded the game, and decided to try out the AR function with the Juice Bar. The game then prompted us to select the set we wanted to use for AR, and the Juice Bar was no where to be seen! The game shows the other sets, which are quite bigger and more elaborate, but they don’t show the Juice Bar as being an option, In fact, the Juice Bar isn’t even usable in the app game at all! At best the mini figs can be individually used with the Gloom Scan function, but then you’d have to wait a full 24 hours to use Gloom Scan again for the other mini fig! The game seems really interesting, and is probably fun to play when you have the right sets, but it’s just a great disappointment that the Juice Bar cannot be used in the game.

Added something, took away what made it playable

This new update makes it so that you can play with your friends. That seems like a great idea. My daughter doesn’t have any friends. She is on the spectrum, and is very introverted. She enjoyed playing hidden side by herself, and appreciated the challenging nature of the game, which was reflected by the option to pick your difficulty level in ghost hunting mode. This new update appears to have removed both the option to pick your difficulty level AND the ability to play WITHOUT friends as a ghost. My daughter just got 2 new hidden side sets for Christmas (she had 1 previously), and was excited to scan them and play. About an hour later, she was crying because she had beaten the bosses quite easily, and couldn’t play as a ghost anymore. “Why didn’t they keep it so you could pick your difficulty level?” she asked. I didn’t have an answer, except to tell her that HOPEFULLY they’ll bring it back next update.

    Lego Hidden Side Birthday Party

We just threw a Lego Hidden Side birthday party for our son. All of his friends and relatives got him Lego Hidden Side presents. He has a top of the line tablet that he got for last Christmas so he couldn’t wait to try out this app. It’s all he has been talking about for months. It won’t work at all. We have contacted customer support and they are no help. He says keeping these sets that won’t work without the app just make him want to cry. We will now be returning all of his birthday presents to exchange for something else. Thank you Lego for ruining our son’s birthday and the gifts received from friends & family. You have lost a loyal family. We will now be switching to your foreign competitors who make the same sets for a more reasonable price. We continued to be loyal to your brand even though your prices were exorbitant because we thought it stood for integrity and we wanted to support that. We now see that it doesn’t. Thank you again for ruining our son’s birthday.
