      Great Game

Devs.. I love your game. I spend $$ all the time upgrades, Well deserved. But please... Figure out a way to scale gold and general rewards at high levels need to scale much higher. For example : wheel spins at high levels 160+ when ships and mods now cost must more. The best spin is 19k gold. When you get 2k and the next upgrade is a few hundred thousand. The amount of parts you need to level up a legendary is insane. Makes it really hard to stay involved. Still a 5 star.

      OK Game

Has its fun factor, been playing for couple of years. Game is slow to upgrade ships, crew, power ups, etc. unless you spend cash, even then the rewards are minimal and play can become monotonous as a result and you pretty much need to buy a monthly subscription (basic monthly, is reasonable) as every time you die, you have to watch a long ad to continue. Beyond that, it’s better than other concept versions of this kind of game and the developers do keep the game updated. They’ve recently added a PvP feature (beta) which looks like it could be fun, but the AI algorithm needs adjustments. Often it pits you against players with stacked ships in Ben though it suppose to match you with like abilities. Also, seems your power ups/ship abilities are redacted in this mod from normal Singleplayer play, in that the hit/damage ratio is set to high sometimes and right where it should be other times. Assuming this will be corrected once it is out of the testing phase. My suggestion for new comers is avoid this feature until it’s been vetted by the developer further as it may frustrate you to not want to play. Though, far as I can tell you don’t lose anything (other than chance at game coins) if you lose matches in PvP.

      So far, so good

I’m liking this game but I just started and I’m only on level 9 but they keep asking me for a review so this is what I have to say. At this stage, it’s awesome fun, but I know that down the line (I’m sure soon) that it will ask if you want to pay real money to upgrade. So far, I’ve just been using my game coin to level up my ship. I refuse to spend money on a game, so if it comes to that, and I’m sure it will, I’ll have to delete it. So, I’m having fun while I still can at this point. Update: Yep, it’s at the point where I have to spend real money to upgrade so I can beat the “boss” ship, so I guess this is goodbye. It was fun while it lasted. This is my honest opinion and I won’t change it.

      Becoming Annoying

Endless difficulty continually increases even tho ship level remains the same, and the bullets move even faster than they were put update. I understand added challenge, but I used to be able to make it from 31-51 every once in a while, and rarely got even farther (that was fun, difficult was good). Now, I'm lucky if I even beat 46 (the new +10 levels for a maxed ship). It keeps getting less and less fun, since the difficult keeps hiking up with no advantage to the player. They even seem to have nerfed ship part drop rates in the packs. Was fun for a small while, at least.

Fun game for those who have $ to spend

Love this game but it has become increasingly more difficult than previous versions. The extra challenge would be fun if it was possible to advance without spending money to upgrade your shop. You will need at least $60 to spend purchasing from the store to be able to advance past first 50-60 levels. Very disappointing and frustrating. Seems it’s not about the game quality anymore but rather about sucking money from players. I don’t mind spending a little for a good game but to actually play this game to completion I estimate roughly $200-$300. No joke.

      Bad changes

Pretty crappy of you to take the pilot trading cards out of the supply shop where we could buy them with gems was also a dum move to not allow purchase of resets on supply shop. The new abilities are a nice touch but the screen placement leaves a lot to be desired as they block views of enemies and incoming bullets. If you think you are going to get people to spend more you are wrong we will watch commercials all day for items but we won’t spend cash be happy with the commercial payments or you are going to loose long time players

      Too hard without paying

This game is really fun and challenging . However it’s extremely difficult to advance without paying for upgrades and such. There are ads for everything which gets annoying fast, and you don’t even get much reward for watching ads . I got to level 22 pretty quickly and have been stuck for about 5 days because I don’t want to pay for upgrades that would allow me to beat this level . Should provide more value for watching ads , more options for getting stuff with ads.

      Missed opportunity for sales...

Much like all ftp games out there, this one suffers from the same issues. Limited upgrade options without spending cash being one of them. Do these companies not realize that the “supply drop” system makes less money than a “buy in” option? Sure... you could leave the buyable items in the game for people that like that sort of gambling, but for myself (and millions of others), the only way put a dime towards these games is if they had a flat price to “buy into” the game essentially. What I mean by that is leave the game ftp, still sell the micro-transactions, but let people *also have the option of paying between $20-$50 to get access to unlimited grinding, easy upgrades, bonus content, etc. For instance... if you pay the $20 (or whatever the price is), you would get daily materials, power ups, etc. You’d be able to do missions as many times as you wanted without having to wait for them to refresh, you could get access to ships/power ups/drones/etc that you can only get by “buying in” etc. This would be a one time payment and would make them countless millions. Every ftp game makes this same idiotic mistake by leaving out such an option... but I guess it is what it is.

It’s a trap! An unfairly hard pay-to-play trap...

Ok, first: I can guarantee most of these reviews are from early on in the game right after you beat an easy boss within the first 20 levels. After that, things start to get hard. Like, Sonic Unfair *really* hard kind of hard. You need extra lives and upgrades, but only a couple are free a day, so after the first 20 levels, it’s strictly pay-to-pay. And I don’t mean $5-10 either. To get to level 60, I’ve shelled out more money on this game than perhaps any other game ever—like $75–no joke (“I have a good job; what the heck, why not?”). At this point I’ve realized what was supposed to be a little fun stress relief has become a full blown gambling habit. Which is probably why they advertise so many other gambling games! Get ready to watch a ton of ads! If you have an even less addictive personality than me, you might be able to play 20 levels and walk away, and it will be amusing (hence 2/5 stars), but I don’t recommend it. You’ll get sucked in and end up spending serious money just to try and finish the game. It’s not going to happen unless you pay for this game many, many, many, times over. Stay. Away. P.S. Even the pictures shown of the game are not actual screenshots—they’ve been doctored. So much about this game is deceptive.

Great idea, but NOT as a Fremium game

I have tried quite a few shmups in the last year, and this was the only one that I really enjoyed and didn’t uninstall. The graphics are colorful, yet simple and uncluttered, the menu is intuitive and easy to navigate, and the music is wonderfully nostalgic. However, while it is fun to play in the beginning, progress slows down drastically in the later levels and you soon sadly realize that every aspect of the game design is calculated to frustrate the player into spending money in order to advance at a reasonable pace. I dearly wish that the developers would scale back the Sisyphean grind and release a version of the game with a price tag up front. Properly done, this could be a superb shooter and I’d pay $10-15 for a version of this game that isn’t so Draconian. There’s great potential here, but the constant ads for the purchase of exceedingly rare and needed items really turns the later levels into an abattoir of frustration and hopelessness when it becomes “crystal” clear how necessary money is to continue enjoying the game past a certain point.

      Whack

I used to love this game, been playing it for months. But it gets to the point where the level of difficulty increases exponentially yet the level of upgrades for your ship do not. Making it extremely difficult to advance far without PAYING MONEY FOR UPGRADES. I was stuck on level 76 for over a week, so I bit the bullet and paid $10 so I could acquire an upgrade. Now I’m stuck on level 77!!! This game was designed this way. Tons of ads and packages for you to spend money so you can continue to advance. These developers really have an upgrade package that cost $100....I’m not kidding. That’s more than the cost of a PS5 or Xbox game. And there’s no guarantee that you will advance much farther with that $100 upgrade package. Giving this 1 star until they program some better/quicker options for ship upgrades to keep up with the fast rising level of difficulty. Oh and I use to routinely get my gun upgraded to level 5 in and given level. I trained my ship to increase to level 6 max, now I barley get 1 or 2 upgrades per level!

      Don't bother installing...

Don't bother installing this game. For months, it was my go-to game. In fact, it was the only game on my phone. I played it every day. But it started getting buggier and buggier. Mostly it was little things like making you watch a video for a reward and not giving you the reward. Or ads during the game that you couldn't exit so you lost the progress on the game. But they kept getting worse and the final straw was when it deleted hundreds of thousands of my coins in the middle of a game. The coins represented many months of play every day, and I was saving them for a big upgrade. Now I feel like I'm standing in the emptied out rubble of my home after it's been robbed. I'm deleting the game and looking for another go-to game from a different company. Don't install this game. Don't go through my heartbreak.

Hopelessly frustrated the second time around.

I closed out my Facebook account and can not open a closed account. I wish I could somehow get my Corvus ship back to level 90. The levels were so much easier. I had to restart at level 1. To have Corvus stuck on maxed out on level 15 is a pain. I was passed level 104 and hard mode about level 56 with all stars on each level. My score now is PATHETIC. I probably went through at least a million game dollars to get where I was and years to do it. I was told that they found my old game on facebook but I had to get on it to retrieve it somehow. Impossible. Can someone get me part way back to what I had? I have a very hard time convincing myself to still play anymore as it is too frustrating at my power level.

      Horrific Bugs

This game was fun for a long time, but they've made changes that have caused it to be incredibly buggy. After a dozen or more times of being "Defeated" before the first wave even starts and losing tens of thousands of coins, I can't take it anymore. They somehow drastically changed the algorithms. For some reason, recent changes are apparently working in everyone's favor except mine. I can't win anymore. When you've stacked the deck against me, it's no longer fun. One last annoyance (bug) to mention, this is the only game that can't seem to stay connected to wifi. I had to remember to turn my wifi off; otherwise, I'd have a nice comfortable lead against an opponent and suddenly I'd get "Disconnected" right around the time I should close for the win. All BS. No more. Buh bye....
