Love playing chess on this app. I like the world rankings but what I’d really like to know is how many people are actually ranked so I really know where I stand? I just got to level of international grandmaster but not really sure if that’s good or not. If my ranking is number 1,000 and there are 2,000 players that’s not a big deal. But if there are 100,000 players worldwide then that is a big deal because now I’m in the TOP 1%. How do I see the number of chess players worldwide actually ranked? Thank you...LOVE THE APP!!!

Fun to play other humans on this app and not super human grandmaster bots.. also they have interesting puzzles ,but like others have mentioned there are multiple solutions to the puzzles most of the time and it can be frustrating when the computer refuses the answer even when you know for a fact that you have answered correctly

Best chess game I’ve played Always a different outcome and openings with real people playing. I like everything except for one minor thing. Sometimes you will get in a match and if the opponent don’t want to play you they just let the time run out before they move and you have to start a different game with a different opponent. They shouldn’t be able to do that And also I noticed that if I am first to move and I do so, the opponent would lose if the timer ran out and that has changed. Now if they do this then they don’t lose They should lose period Other than that the whole app is very good

I like the game a lot except for a few things, I find that the majority of folks I’m playing are real not computers. When I’m doing puzzles I always find multiple solutions to the same puzzle, it’s awfully frustrating screwing up the puzzle because your checkmate isn’t the same as the checkmate they wanted. Instructions would be great too, such as mate in two, or gain advantage in two. Also y’all need to get rid of the draft kings scratch off ad, it is off center and I often have a hard time exiting out so I can start the game I just paid gold for. Other than that great concept and execution!

I enjoy the game, But it cheats me very often. One game I played, was declared a draw, my opponent was one move from checkmate and his time ran out? I really like the game, But it is very disheartening To be cheated, repeatedly. The last game I “played” was awarded a defeat, I was never able to move a piece? That isn’t a defeat. The squares on the board are also far too small, during many games my piece goes to an adjacent square, instead of where intended. Excellent format and game, perfect if these flaws were somehow corrected. 2\11\2020 three defeats before I even moved, wouldn’t allow me to move, serious issues with the game.

Why are cancelled games(due to my opponent’s failure to make the first move within a 30 second time frame) counted as a game. Is this a chess rule or a rule of “chess Royale”? When I win 10 of 10 games, and my win ratio is 100%, I would not expect it to be reduced because my opponent failed to move his first move. When you count my opponent’s failure to make his first move as a game played, then it reduces my win ratio through no fault of my own. Please explain. To repeat my question, is this a “chess Royale” rule or is it a generally accepted rule of the chess community? Gary

After waiting for a online chess match, you will get assigned to random player, it looks for real at first but after playing only vs online “human” players with about 20 matches during the day, I noticed the same opening, same exact stupid mistakes like “horse takes pawn and pawn takes horse.” And after each mistake the computer generates an emoji responding to you to simulate an actual person sending an emoji during certain moves on the chess board. I’m sorry developers for saying this, you have a great concept to this development and get some pocket money here and there which is all good, but for those who are seeking to play against honest opponents in an online room, this app is not for you. You will get assigned to a bot if there is no available player to play against and 9/10 times you are usually playing a bot.

It is so frustrating when you keep having ads. The games continues let disconnects and freezes. Checked my WiFi and phone several time to see if they were the problem but it turns out to be the game. I really enjoy playing chess but to just have the app stop working and interrupting the game several times it not okay. It takes my coins away and declares defeat because “I couldn’t make a move within a minute”. There is a option when you can continue but due to the 5 pop ups and ads you cannot log back in time to make your move!! My advice unless you want to pay to make this app work right DONT DOWNLOAD!!

This game is very fun but it has a lot of bugs.. it keeps freezing and showing blank screen when it’s matchmaking with others..if you close the app and try to get back in, it gives you million types of promotions and you have to exit out of it.. by the time you do all that your time is up and you lose the match... I lost a lot of coins and my rating went down significantly because the app won’t work properly. Unless they fix all the bugs in the game it’s going to be very frustrating to play.. that is why I’m giving it 3 stars because if all the bugs otherwise id give 5 stars..

This app was referred to me by a friend after playing on other apps with me. I was apprehensive about trying another app. I was initially frustrated but after navigating through it I began to really like it until recently. I’ve lost several games because the game would freeze while it was my turn to make a move forcing me to close the app. When I would return to play I have losses in the archive from games I wasn’t able to complete. Also while waiting for my opponent to load the game crashes and when I log back in the amount of coins it took to play that opponent is deducted from my bank. Lately I can’t even watch the short videos to earn coins or other items available, the game just continues to load and then finally crashes. I really liked this app but considering going back to the other apps that I am displeased with. I may have to wait days for opponents to make a move but at least I’m not being frustrated from the app crashing, loosing coins to no fault of my own, loosing games that I haven’t had a chance to play and the constant loading to no avail.

Either the game is not PvP or every single opponent I face coincidentally makes the same exact moves (Highly highly unlikely). I like to open with E4 and 95% of my games when white (which happens way more than 50% of the time) goes as follows: 1. e4 d5 2. exd5 Qxd5 3. Nc3 Qf5 4. d4 Nf6 5. Bd3 Qa5 6. Nf3 Nc6 7. Bg5 Nxd4 ... The remaining 5% of games that do not follow this path all make the move Qxf2 on their 5th move. Every single time. I’ve played roughly 30-40 games that played out this way exactly (one of the two scenarios) . I doubt this is a coincidence and it wouldn’t be as much of a problem for me if I was selecting the PvC version but it was during PvP game modes. Seems to me like they went through a lot of trouble to make a PvC game mode look like a PvP

First off I want to express my true feelings of this application. I have been playing consistently for a few months on this app. I lost approximately 20 games because of how slow the app is and the connection issues. For that reason I stopped using it until the new update came out. It gotten much better. However, I have played two games recently, one of which was just mins before writing this review. The game was extremely slow and it took time for the pieces to move. Anyways, when I finally checkmated my opponent the stupid app said “ oops something went wrong :( “ AFTER I WON. NOT THE FIRST TIME my rating was unfairly judged by this app. Download a different one if you don’t want to get frustrated.

too many advertisements. even if you pay for no ads, as soon as you open the app, you are hit with 3 advertisements. EVERY SINGLE TIME, sometimes 4 back to back. ads are: spins the wheel, connect on facebook, buy the coins in your safe, allow us to track you, etc. you habe to close out each time you start the app. and they position them so when you try to click continue, the advertisement appears on top and forces you to “apin the wheel” and you have to pay coins or watch a video. stay away from this app, there are far better chess apps out there. also 90% you are playing bots, not humans. the developers will say you are playing humans 90% of the time, but it’s actually bots. how do i know? 90% of the time you face a player who never captures, just avoids. 90% of the time you face a player who will sacrifice a queen for a pawn. 90% of the time you will face a player that makes a move in exactly 4 seconds each move and will run out of time. 90% of the time you will face a player with 35 trophies but plays in cairo. 10% of the time you face a player who says hi. 10% of the time you face a player send you rematch. 10% of the time you face a player who will rage quit and let timer run out. 10% of the time you face a player with 7000+ trophies playing in cairo.

I have had $31 STOLEN from me using this app by making a couple purchases on this app but receiving nothing for the purchases. I have sent 3 complaints so far to the app asking them to either refund the purchases or update my account to include my purchases, but I have not heard anything from them nor have had my account updated. This app used to be great and I have been using it to play for the last couple months, but all of a sudden their app has started to go down the toilet. Please be warned and if you want to download an play using this app, okay but DO NOT make any purchases. I will be reporting this app to every App Store as well to ensure that they are either shut down or restricted from allowing people to make purchases
