    Great game!

First off, this game is great! I love it’s graphics. For a mobile game it’s awesome. I love the free play style, I can make things anywhere I want. I can build the way I feel like building. I’m not confined to one certain way of building. I love how the battles look so large scale, how they look when zoomed in. I don’t have many negative things about this game other than internet usage, which I won’t be mad about because it’s my internet. Although.. this is a warning.. if you aren’t patient, don’t get this. Everything takes a VERY long time. I’m currently working to upgrade my castle for the first time, I did the math.. to gather the first part it will take me 15 hours. That’s 1500 stone with making 40 every 15 minutes. I’m willing to wait, but it takes up a lot of time. So unless you have some money to spend, don’t get it unless if you have time and patience.

    Very unique

I have been looking around for unique new games and this is definitely one of my favorites! It allows you to build your castles however and where ever you want, gather resources wherever and however you want, fight whenever and however you want it’s basically completely up to you. You can even raise and lower the ground and change the flow or rivers to better grow your crops and there seasons each with its own pros and cons. I haven’t seen a game like this and I’ve been loving it! It’s not fast paced and doesn’t require any purchases to progress unless you just want to speed it up. I have made it to all 6 areas and I haven’t spent any real money so it’s very possible to be good at this game without paying. I would suggest this game to anybody who wants a strategy game that you can control more of! My only request would be to add more areas!

The ability to choose in fights !!

Every game (similar to this game) has a battle section that we get to decide how to do a certain action. But I never found a that allows you to choose a particular type of soldier and then : swap positions, attack front or rear enemy group, choose when to charge for maximum damage, etc. Even choose which type of soldier you want and in what order on the field. That alone makes it worth a try. For example, we can put all archers in the back row and make them attack the enemies archers, make them attack the front line or even make one archer group attack back while the other attack the front. Or don’t add any archers but only swordsman . All the choices makes it challenging and fun for each battle so earning income is not a task.

    Please read for future ideas

I love this game it’s amazing. I’ve been playing this game for a few months and I’m level 34. I think that this game’s perfection can be raised even higher by; doing a online 2 v 2 battle and you can invite your friends to join you in duels menu or something and attack another duo. You guys should also start people off for free with some gold about 200 gold; because I know from my experience that gold is pretty hard to get if you can’t buy it especially with ten year olds like me who don’t have a credit card or gift cards on a iPad or a phone. This is all that I would like to say thank if you read this. Thank you please reply for more info about my conversation Sincerely “ARTHOURJR”

    Veteran review

First thoughts: really cool game. Love the whole concept of the hexagons and how you can really work to create an economy. There’s more to ruling a kingdom than war, and this game perfectly illustrates that. I have a couple of suggestions. 1) make it so that it’s a gentle transition of seasons, instead of abrupt. It would be cool to have some weather, because we really don’t have much of any weather in the game. 2) make it less time to gather resources and upgrade or make things a whole lot cheaper to build or upgrade. For serious gamers this is the perfect game, but for those who don’t have time to spend hours a day on here grinding away it can be quite a slog. Take em or leave em. Either way, really cool game and top marks from me!

Should add ADs tab to get a couple free gold

This game is freaking awesome. It’s a bit difficult at first but as you get better it gets easier and upgrade your troops. You don’t really have to worry about other players coming in and destroying your castle and taking all your resources you spent real money on. There are Viking invaders but you can fight them off or even pay them off. You still have PvP but you can choose to PvP or not it’s not forced on you. My only recommendation is to have a tab for watching videos for some free gold. You can find gold randomly in mine exploration things but it’s very small amounts and buy cool stuff takes a lot of gold

Enjoyable Game, but just be smart.

This game is a classic example of how developers capitalize on dopamine to get people addicted to playing video games. This is nothing new. Remember Super Mario Brothers? Developers have just become more savvy. There is virtually no way to progress in this game without using some real money. One need not break the bank but unless you have all the time in the world to collect resources, you aren’t going to progress fast enough, especially since attention spans are so small these days. How much real money should you spend? I’m not into telling people what they should do so do what YOU want and what is reasonable within your budget. This game is a marathon not a sprint. There are plenty of huge egos in the gaming world and addiction is rampant. No need to go bankrupt playing video games. My suggestions: Spend money on developing blacksmiths, taverns, sheep, cattle, farms, and quarry and fishing areas which will give you a steady flow of income. Then start developing your troops so that you can start winning battles and get more resources. Avoid trying to build too many walls and aesthetics since nobody really cares what your town looks like. Avoid greed and sloth and you’ll do fine. 😎

    Good but..

This is a fun game to begin with and the battle mechanics are even more fun but one thing is REALLY ANNOYING This is a pay to win. Not in the way you would think though kingdom building resource collection and PVE battles are fine it’s PVP battles that are pay to win whenever I try to duel I get pit up against some guy who spent a ton of money on the game and has a ton of elite units that are all maxed out and I get completely obliterated because the other guy spent money on the game so by logic the only way to get anywhere with duels I have to spend money on elite units which I’m not about to do but other than that this is a game worth playing.

    Good game, pretty difficult

I know how some people really enjoy difficult games that challenge your mind and such. I personally love these kind of games, but this game is a little TOO difficult. I absolutely love everything about it except for the fact that missions become impossible to beat after you reached level 20 or so. I don't play duels anymore because the generator puts me up against people who already have the best troops of every class while I'm still using swordmen and basic archers. The missions were pretty balanced as far as difficulty up until I reached level 20 or so. Then I wasn't even able to win in easy-labeled missions. If the devs could tone the difficulty of the ai down and fix the duel generator, I have absolutely no problem with rating a 5 star. Every other aspect of the game is amazing. But until the previously stated problems are fixed, this rating remains 3 stars.

    Duels

My very first duel that I tried to fight, the game disconnected me before the battlefield even loaded. My troops were already set up in a perfect counter to the enemy's, but when the game disconnected me it let the other player do what he wanted as if he was fighting an NPC that couldn't move and coordinate troops - he wrecked me because the game forced me to crash. It wouldn't even let me spectate the duel or fight other battles after it crashed until that fight had ended. Fix your issues, SEGA. EDIT: Now it's telling me my connection is one circle out of like ten. My connection is fine. 3/3 wifi bars. My ping is 40-50 on any other game. FIX YOUR SERVERS. I live on the east coast, I should have some of the best connections in the world. GET SOME INTERNATIONAL/REGIONAL SERVERS AND START BEING INCLUSIVE OF ALL PLAYERS, NOT JUST THOSE THAT LIVE NEAR YOUR HEADQUARTERS. SECOND EDIT: I've fought a series of duels now, and increased my dueling rank to 17 with two medals. About 30-40% of the time, my game crashes when I attempt to connect to a duel, and it sends me back to my Kingdom's landscaping screen while leaving my army uncommanded in the duel. Very disappointing, won't be spending money on this game. Worth the download but not the cash.

Everything was fine until you changed the user agreement.

Like the title says the game was great then you updated the user agreement the day before I wrote this and now the screen looks like you messed up the gamma settings and I play only on my phone I don’t have a laptop for this dull game. So I have no way of changing the settings half the stuff on the screen is now whites out or unable to see it, you can’t see symbols on buttons and it looks like the Sahara desert sun is blazing the land, I have submitted a ticket to SEGA but don’t count on getting a reply. I wonder who owns SEGA it was pretty sneaking seeming to update the user agreement I read it and your just selling our information to 3rd parties for marketing. That’s continued disgusting behavior. I’ve spent a good deal of time on this game especially since COVID has us not able to do much. Now I’m convinced something dishonorable is up as you have jacked up the whole experience. I’m awaiting a reply from SEGA if any and of course will amend this review if you fix the problems you caused that never existed the entire time I’ve been playing.

    100% pay to play

I have played and loved almost all of the Total War games. But this game is the exception. I have spent way to much real money on this game and in order to advance I will need to buy more gold. I have given this game over a month and building and fighting is some what fun until you stop paying for gold. Most "in game purchase" games allows you to advance, all be it slow, with out paying or just paying every now and then but this game dose not follow that philosophy. The biggest draw, for me, to the total war games are the massive battles and the ability of the player to use real to life battle tactics. To read about Roman history and use what you learned on the virtual battlefield. But this waste of time and money has very little to NO strategy in the battles and the building portion of the game offers nothing more than any other game. If you want to pay over $100 to an app on your phone that has nothing new to offer and absolutely no strategy in battle than this game is for you. If that scenario is not applying to you I would suggest you skip this game.

    Piece of Crap

Honestly it was quite fun up to an extent but once you hit a certain point, you need to win missions, quests, or duels for silver and stone. 90% of the time you find someone with one more piece of artillery than you, so even if you play the beginning of the battle correctly and have several more squads remaining than your enemy, you'll still lose because your squads will just sit there waiting for the enemy, getting hammered by the artillery you can't destroy. I lost a battle when it was 5 squads on 1 and I even taunted his last squad (which was swordsmen) to my calvary for an extra damage bonus. Well for some reason, even with two archer squads firing into the squad fight, his swordsmen lasted more than a minute and still beat my calvary even though I started with more in my squad. While that fight was going, my four other squads got killed by artillery. Clearly, the dueling and battling system needs to be balanced a bit more.

Very Buggy On IOS, Pay To Play, Disappointing

Huge fan of Total War series, but this one is designed to waste your time and/or money. I spent a good amount of hours on it to make sure I know what I’m talking about. The Map: *Progress is excruciatingly slow, super hard to get gold unless you spend real $$$ and that won’t get you too far. Nothing special strategy wise, mostly mindless screen tapping. *Bug gets you randomly kicked out of your account *Viking outposts are a chance to battle on economics strategy with other people, except that AFTER SPENDING TENS OF HOURS TO MAKE #1 YOUR SCORE IS GONE AND ALL PROGRESS IS LOST! The Battles: *Battles are VERY basic compared to the original game, but that wouldn’t be too bad if you didn’t *GET KICKED OUT OF THE BATTLE due to BUG and lose without being able to take part in it, which makes Duels even more frustrating. *Super hard to win a duel or Battle Quests without buying advanced units (or crafting, which takes so much time and resources that you might die of old age by the time that’s done) and then you’re not out of the woods yet because you have to build Xp, which is another long and arduous journey. Conclusion: This game is just a scam banking on the original Total War nostalgia. Don’t waste your time and money on it, instead of entertainment you get frustration!
