“Draw Something” helped me connect with a gravely-ill yet friendly co-worker during her journey out of life. Even with my stylus, I remember being absolutely out-classed by the care and skill she placed in each one, just for me—on her deathbed! Thanks for going out in style and on the high-technology side of “pop art,” Becky! I miss your down-to-Earth presence and have yet to find a Draw Something match of equal caliber. I wish I had the foresight to save them; Zynga, can you help?!

I have two suggestions for this game. First, I feel bombs and colours are overpriced. On an average round, you get one to three coins, up to six if you do one of the special categories. But the price for five bombs is 200 coins, so you have to play around 100 rounds (averaging it to 2 coins per round) to get five bombs. That’s pretty bad. Same with colous, they usually cost 249 coins and I find that to be very expensive compared with what the game gives you per round. Second suggestion, badge words should come around more often. I’ve been playing this game for years and I haven’t been able to complete any of the categories. The one in which I have the most words is 3/5, but I never seem to get the fourth one. And I have 18 categories in which I have no words drawn. It’s a nice thing that the game puts a symbol on the badge words, so you can choose to draw them; kudos for that. But if they only come once or twice a month, we’re getting nowhere.

The game is fun to play with friends, and decent with random users (when they don’t just write the word). However, I believe the following changes would improve it: • Add a zoom function. It’s hard to draw small details on the iPhone, and zooming would allow more precision. Note: Using accessibility, I sometimes use three-finger touch to zoom manually. However, this can create stay brushstrokes that are difficult to cover upon zooming back out. Additionally, you cannot change colors/ brush size or undo while zoomed in this way. • Fix the fuzziness glitch. When I create lengthy drawings, older brushstrokes become fuzzy, and sometimes the whole canvas can become faded and blurry. Perhaps this is an attempt to optimize performance, but I don’t see why such heavy optimization would be needed when you are limited to one undo.

Random names keep showing up for game requests, even though I have it disabled in the settings. Navigation is kinda crappy. There’s no consistent way to delete game requests. You just click-drag, or something until a delete button appears under your finger (where you can’t see it!). When I do click on one of those random player to play a game, nothing happens. I’m scratching my head here.

Great concept, and lots of fun. A little buggy, and how come there's no way to communicate? Sometimes I want to laugh with my opponent, ya know? Also, the amount of coins we need to do/buy ANYTHING is ridiculous. 400+ coins? For any and everything? Put something within reach. Little rewards here and there. Reaching 100 coins, then 200 and 300 should matter! Stop asking us to rate you every 5 minutes. It's annoying. Update: Wow. Wrote that a few years ago. I started playing this game again after not playing for well over a year. Maybe longer. I see that some things have changed, while some things things that really needed, and need, changing -haven’t. The drawing topics. Holy repetitive. Then they switch difficulty levels. A topic will be worth two coins, then I’ll see it again and it’s worth one. Then it’ll change yet again. There still isn’t an effective way to communicate. It’s almost impossible to personalize this game. I have people I’ve passed 70+ drawings back and forth with, and we can’t chat. That’s just.. well, why is that? Maybe you guys have a reason for that. I do like that we can now choose from extended lists of drawing topics. That’s a nice addition. Still Three Stars from me.

I play thing game often. It depends on how many games with “friends” I have going. And it is entertaining and fun to draw and challenge yourself to improve. The format and functionality of the game is not my favorite. I would love certain upgrades or changes. One being a chat/message board to chat with your different opponents. The current back and forth messaging is not efficient and/or is very old style. If you don’t read the message right when it pops up-you totally miss it. And there is no way to go back to it. I’d prefer it to be similar to Words With Friends, where each individual game has a connected message board. Second- I wish there was a way to use bombs for things other than clues. I have accumulated over 100 bombs -but mostly don’t need them for guessing. I wish the different word packs or color packs could be payed for by either coins or bombs. ie 250 coins or 10 bombs for color packs. or for word packs 40 coins or 2 bombs. I would enjoy this game much more if this was an option.

I love the idea of this game, but after all these years, very little improvements have been implemented. Make the interface easier to use. I don’t like scrolling through every color to get the one I want. Also add new words already. And make it so that you can buy topics that don’t expire in 15 minutes. Nobody I play with gets back within 15 minutes. It’s a stupid time limit. How about a chat interface? The stupid way you pop up chat now is ridiculous. And how about making it so I can gift my friends who are just starting some colors? Or incorporate a live feature so we can draw and guess in real time. And still only one undo step? Come on, draw something. Do something.

I play the Daily and Weekly completions/challenges religiously. I notice that when I complete the daily or weekly challenges, it pads my time my adding minutes to the amount of time I took to complete. That really pisses me off . . . yes, I’m super competitive. Nothing wrong with that at all. If it was a couple of or a few seconds difference, I wouldn’t mind at all; but it typically adds 3 minutes or more to the daily challenges and up to an hour on the weekly challenges. Stop it! Just stop it already! The Support page is useless. There’s no way to get support on this issue. Why even bother having a Support page when you don’t provide any. Grrrrr!

I have had this app since 2012 and I have enjoyed it. It’s fun and it isn’t a time such like most games that draw you in and before you know it half your day is gone. This is fun for doodling and drawing when you’re sitting in the car or waiting somewhere. I finally took the plunge and got the paid version this year hoping the words would be different. Maybe a few but not enough to warrant paying for it. Save yourself the money and buy a coffee or tea instead. Though I enjoy the game, with nothing really new (words) added to the mix, I could totally see it losing its popularity not too far off in the future.

Update: my daughter wrote the original review. I haven’t played in years and went back after I finally got an Apple Pencil. Just doesn’t work well with it - ended up frustrating me instead of making it more fun and easier to draw. At first I came back to review and wanted to give it maybe 1 star because I was having even more trouble drawing 😊. I suppose keeping the drawing tools oversized/blunt creates an even playing field and keeps players from spending an hour on their turn, however, it seems like a DRAWING game would play nice with an Apple Pencil. Doesn’t even support palm rejection. P.S. am I wrong or did it used to be that drawings were in a category? I’m really missing that. All I can see now is an option to use bombs to use a category for a drawing...but does my partner know this? p.p.s: why have my last two rounds featured “Verizon” as the hard category word? How the heck are you supposed to draw a name brand?!? Original review: This is the best game ever thought of in the world! Whoever thought of this game is a genius.

I really enjoyed playing Draw Some thing with a few of my family members and friends however I had purchased draw something two and had acquired all the colors and made a lot of artwork and because I hadn’t played in sometime a month or so couple of months they took all my paintings and I deleted the game from my apps which was very disappointing I tried to recover it but was unable to I Have reloaded the app on my phone but no longer have access to all of the things I purchased the last time I had it so I gave you three stars instead of five

I have been playing for years. Recently, the app has become so full of glitches that the enjoyment of playing has gone. It keeps crashing. It gets stuck and becomes unplayable. It frequently requests that I rate it. In short, it's a frustrating mess! Attempts to contact technical support have been worthless! They just send the exact same information that is on their faq page or a standard “ boilerplate” auto reply. All colors, coins and bombs have disappeared. Zynga technical support promised to restore them if I would create a new account with a new email. Although I didn’t want to set up a new email account, I reluctantly did. Zynga has not restored account status as promised. Zynga recently had a data breach. They failed to inform their customers!!! That is unacceptable! Zynga is a mess!!

This game has been excellent for my best friend and me to play. Until we were 1700 rounds into a game that just disappeared with no recovery option. We sucked it up and started another game. And then today, it was deleted by the game again. Sitting next to each other, we both opened the game. She had a notification that it was her turn, but the game was gone. I nudged her on mine, and it disappeared as soon as I did it. It’s infuriating that this is an issue. Meanwhile, we’ve also both been getting invites from random people despite us both having that feature turned off. I really wish there were other games. I’d pay for something better than this crap. She’s also been getting ads on her paid app. No bueno.

I have been a loyal player since 2012 and I have loved this app. Recently though, I have not been able to play Guess Something because when I open up the app to play, Guess Something has already been completed. It has been annoying. I have a really strong WiFi connection, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I have also logged out and logged back in and nothing has worked. I have also downloaded the latest version and I have also turned off my phone. I have contacted Support twice and when their response is everything I have already done. Please fix it. I’m sure I am not the only player with this problem!
