In current state one of the best rhythm games on iPhone

Have been having a lot of fun playing, but firstly I'd like to say that coming into this I expected something like osu! standard mode; but don't be fooled, this is a new game mode of its own. Though simmilar to osu!standard, the game mechanics make use of a different sort of hand eye coordination and the touchscreen. It also priorities accuracy over combo, which while strange at first, adds to the replayability of songs; which helps with the issue of limited content. With all maps having been provided for free in the last update this game is now a contender for one of the best rhythm games on iPhone. I wish leaderboards weren't currently frozen; but regardless I'm sure this took a lot of work, and in my eyes is a successful project. Good luck going forward with lazer. Hope to play it soon!

    Thank you Osu!

This game has kept me entertained for years, since middle school actually. I’m in my sophomore year in college now. This game has been so much fun from the beginning to the end. Its a really well made game, while with few options for songs, now with all of the paid content being free, it’s a whole new world! Thank you developers! This review is very sentimental, but it’s a genuinely good game, and has a special place in my heart. It’s one of the first mobile games that seemed like the creators actually cared.

Thank you for all the hard work!

I read your blog and I now realize how much time and energy this app took to make and I’m so glad for all the hard work you put into it. Thank you so much for updating this one more time before leaving it as it’s been one of my favorite apps of all time and just seeing Acknowledgement that it was still being worked on to this day was such a great feeling. I hope you now can move on to bigger and better things. Keep up the good work! =D

A really nice idea of game mode.

Looking at this from the perspective of a 2020 lazer player, this is actually really cool. I like the hold circles and the way the maps can change difficulty depending on how good you’re doing is honestly an awesome game mode that could be exploited as a mod or something in Lazer. (Maybe a mod that changed AR or CS mid game.) This was an amazing experience and I wish there were more maps or a way to make maps. That would keep this game alive. Great job peppy, I’ll be following lazer mobile development. 😁

A good way to play osu! On the go

Whenever I Play this it feels like I’m actually playing osu! On a computer and you can have a stylus but I don’t recommend it cause you would need 2 but the gameplay is good and the graphics in my opinion are better than the standard ones on pc the song selection is awesome for me cause now I don’t have to install any songs to play them it’s overall a really good game I recommend this if you don’t have a computer

    A great osu! experience

I remember finding this game around 6 years ago and consequently becoming addicted to it.. It got me into the standard version osu (due to wanting to play more beatmaps) and ofc that game is super fun! I stopped playing stream for years but I never deleted it and I now finally recently opened it to see some new songs! It’s a little sad to see this is the last update, but I look forward to the future of osu (which hopefully includes maps with multitouch)!

    Cant Stay Away

I really enjoy this game! Its so different from the usual rhythm game gameplay and even tho a larger phone screen makes it a bit more difficult (but thats a general rhythm game issue) i find myself downloading it on every phone i get bc i love so much!! The songs are great (omg ty for making all of them available free now whoa!!) and i can just fall back into the familiar patterns and tunes that ive played so many times. Its great! Definitely recommend

    Fantastic

This was my introduction to osu! back in 2012, and it really doesn’t disappoint. I was one of the few who bought every song pack before they went free, and each pack is ridiculously high quality in terms of mapping and were well-worth the cost. It is admittedly a bit gimped nowadays since new records can’t be put on the leaderboards anymore, but it’s still a great experience that I’d recommend to any rhythm game fan.

  • By fun but to pittle to do

    Update

I know you said that there might not be another update but could you please add something like community maps or just a few maps i mean it gets boring playing the same selection all the time every day over and over and over and over and over and over i have played some maps almost 100 times

    Well made game

Thanks for the update this is such a well made game it’s a shame that it won’t be getting updates anymore but I understand it’s necessary so that you can focus on Osu! Lazer and the mobile version of osu lazer we really appreciate the work you put into osu and that’s the reason why osu is the best rhythm game in my opinion I can’t wait for osu lazer mobile keep up the good work

    osu but on an iPad

As someone who doesn’t really have a computer, this is pretty good! Some issues tho: there’s a rlly small timing window on expert mode. It’s really hard to get an A or above on expert. Like, stupid hard. I just got an A on expert for the very first time and I’ve been playing this game for over 3 years. The maps are also sorta weird. It would also be pretty cool if the maps went more into depth with the two finger mechanic; the most the maps do with them are doubles and not much else (excluding March Handyman). The difficulty rating is also not that accurate. March Handyman is just as hard as Nekomimi Switch or Liquid Future. Other than those reasons, good game. (PS. Make it more beginner friendly. Apparently the tutorial’s too strict.)

    It’s good but...

The game is almost or not just like the pc version but what makes it a bit boring is that when I play osu on pc I get to listen to custom music that I like while playing osu! And almost every song in osu!Stream is just bad without almost nobody enjoying the songs. If you could somehow get to use songs or a video’s audio on mobile by using camera roll would make it better if you have downloaded song’s in your iPhone camera roll.

  • By very mean woman

This game makes me mad 😡

So the first thing I’m mad about is if you miss a millisecond off you lose,I was on endless tower and next I can’t win at all I was still on endless tower and I was a millisecond off and it made me rage my family says I have anger issues and I’m sure I do and it’s cus of games like this so please I was on easy mode and still lost like what and when I was on stream mode and keep losing at the bottom orange and it has a 1 so if I rage one more time I’m writing another report

    Awful rng gameplay

The timing is way to strict and inaccurate, and the song collection is way too small. Cytus and Cytus ii is a way better choice, much bigger and better song selection and much more reasonable timing even for million master. I’ve gotten million master on all of the chaos level 14 and 15 songs on Cytus ii so I know it’s not my skill. Even hitting the notes in this game, if it isn’t perfect to the impossible millisecond (in a rigged kind of way), you’ll lose life, and when you get knocked down a stream there is no way to move to a higher stream despite what it’ll tell you, instead the stream progress line will remain at the end and never bump you up. Do not download this awful infuriating game.
