Too many ads - too often - but worth it to go ad free

I originally gave this game 1 star because the ads were too many too often (read last paragraph below). BUT after playing for a while I was eventually prompted with the option to remove ads ($3 at time of writing) and THAT is money well spent. I actually love this game. It’s a really fun distraction. Play for a minute or for an hour. Since each round is so short I find it’s great to play while waiting on hold for tech support, or in drive thru queues, or during other boring moments, like waiting for your wife to give birth (joking). If you like this game, likes do, buy it. (original review) Each round lasts only a few seconds yet there is an ad after EVERY ATTEMPT. I haven’t been able to play this game long enough to decide if I like it because I’m having to sit through 30 seconds ads after five seconds of gameplay. How this game got such a high rating I’ll never know.

    Previews, courses and coin

It’s really hard to complete a level when you don’t get a preview of the requirements for that level. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to hit the buttons to open the gates because I had to find them. That’s really frustrating. Also with the upgrades the upgrades and course should correspond to each other better. The lengths so get longer the higher your upgrade goes. Example: if I have a level 90 slingshot then I should have to use it at or near max strength to reach the target. I should have these crazy up grades and use less than 50% of it. There should also be cars that you can purchase with in game coins. I would much rather have a store for coin and gem packages and then use that money to buy upgrades and new cars. For 2.99 that should be something to consider

    So far it’s fun!

My only complaint is having to start back over with your car back level one on a new world. The game is awesome. I really enjoy playing it. Yes the 5000 dollars you sent me in advance helped influence my opinion just a tad. (Just Kidding) it’s nice to see a game not on a subscription based paying platform. I honestly don’t buy games but this game is fun and sometimes a challenge. So I opted for the ad free version. Having to shoot they 4 lanes of cars just to find out you over powered and went over your target is fun and yet frustrating at the same time. An idea what is different between each car would be awesome to know also. Please keep up the great work.

I would love this game IF THE DEVS WOULD FIX 80% OF THE RAMPS

I seriously think this game is fun, I’ve spent hours already playing when I should be doing other things. But PLEASE, DEVELOPERS, I’m BEGGING YOU TO FIX THE RAMPS! Especially in levels like world 2. Most of them are IMPOSSIBLE to land because the car thinks it’s colliding with a different object than the ramp! I’ve been stuck on level 10 in world 2 JUST on the first ramp because of this! I can’t get past that main jump because my car thinks it’s colliding with something! Also, why do the locked doors have to reset after like, 3 failed attempts? After having broken jumps, is this feature REALLY necessary?

It was great for a while

I really enjoyed this game and even paid to get rid of the ads because it was worth it to me. The concept is different and thank goodness has nothing to do with the match 3 obsession with so many games lately. But I’m stuck on level 7-2. I have spent many hours of frustration because of inconsistent physics. I stretch back to 85% and it lands directly next to the button. So I stretch back to 85% again and adjust my aim slightly, but now it goes WAY beyond the button even over the railing behind the button! How does that make sense?? Worse yet, I HIT the button (finally) but it didn’t activate it! I also rolled over the button and it didn’t activate it. It seems impossible to pass this level. If it’s possible to pass it at all, it seems to take pure luck, not learning and adjusting from previous attempts which is what was originally attractive about the game. So it seems I can no longer play and I’m disappointed. Besides fixing the physics, it would be good to give some option to help when you’re completely stuck, like a hint, or pay coins to skip, or pay coins to make the button a bigger target, or whatever else gives some other option besides no longer being able to continue at all.

    Not bad..

I had so much fun with this game that, even the random pop up ads were fine to deal with. That was up until level 10-2. I spent so many hours on that level and eventually just gave up trying and uninstalled. I honestly don’t see a solution to that level. I mean, you’re either going to overshoot the goal line, crash into another car on the way, or crash into a very unexpected placement of a rock hidden behind a tree. If you go slow, your car will veer off to the left and crash into the mountain or end up in a ditch. I did see that a few people managed to pass that level in the reviews so, congrats on that. Would give 5 stars if a “Skip” button was added. You could make it work by penalizing your players by watching an ad or pay some coins or something. Then I’d keep it for way longer. So, all in all, if you don’t mind a good amount of ads, are ready to grind some pretty frustrating levels and have your battery drained pretty quick, I’d give this a shot.. it sounds bad, I know but, it really is a good arcade styled gameplay.

    World 4 is a disappointment

Let me start out by saying I love this game. Yes, there are some strange physics issues with the cars, but I’ve played the first three worlds over and over again simply because slingshotting a car into the air never gets old. I’d been waiting for months for world 4 to be released until this morning when I noticed it was finally available. My initial impressions excited me; I really appreciate that the developers took the location to a more urban environment - but man, what happened to all the jumping?! No more ramps and crazy stunts?! Most of the new tracks are just flat roads that never take you airborne. Less than 30 minutes after updating the game, I’d already beaten world 4. I really miss the chaos of launching your car into the air, hoping to hit a target hundreds of meters away. I’m extremely disappointed by the new update. Also - the new cars are cool, but there was a total missed opportunity to make the back to the future car leave burning tracks on the road if the slightshot was released at 88%. Just saying!

Broken physics and impossible challenge levels

I finished all the worlds and levels in this game which took far too long than I’d like to admit due to inconsistency of physics which only allowed me to beat certain levels with shear luck. I spent almost 45 minutes on a certain level in world 2 because it seemed impossible to finish. My stubborn self wouldn’t accept defeat though. After finishing all the levels currently available, I was left with only the limited time challenge levels. These challenges are impossible as you cannot upgrade the slingshot or car. So for example in the challenge with the targets or the basketball hoop, you are thrown into the challenge with a completely stock slingshot with not nearly enough power to achieve your goals. No matter how much you try, you cannot complete your objective. I enjoyed this game but it needs a lot of work. I cannot see myself playing anymore unless some major fixes are applied.

    Please Fix

I love the game and purchased the upgrade to no adds. It is replayable for me so waiting on the next world Is ok, but would like for them to come faster. My largest complaint is the sports/challenges feature. What was supposed to be something to keep you coming back until a new world opened up makes me want to forget this game. As said before, with no way to upgrade you are stuck with a car and slingshot combo that will get you nowhere. To add to that nowhere I have only been able to shoot the car the first time I tried a challenge. Every time since the game will crash, I will restart it, and it will cost gems to “play again”. Second if it doesn’t crash when I go to pull back the slingshot it freaks out, jerks around, and goes absolutely nowhere. I have hope so I have it 3. Could be a 5 or go lower if the bugs don’t get fixed.

    Suggestion: Ability to downgrade

I played this game a lot and was having a lot of fun with it. But not too far in, I think I upgraded everything too much. My car went too fast and the level I was on was literally impossible to complete. Because of this, I’ll be uninstalling, reinstalling and starting over. This is partially my fault honestly, but I think the ability to take your stats back down temporarily could help this to not be a problem for anyone else. That way if you want to play on, you won’t have to uninstall and start over. Update: I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and since I bought no ads, I wanted to restore my purchase. When I try to though, I just get an infinitely spinning wheel. It won’t work no matter how my internet connection is. I tried many times, none worked.

Bad physics, useless Engine upgrade, and ads even after paying to remove them

Ads: Even after paying for no ads, the app still occasionally advertises other apps made by this developer in a box in the bottom right corner of the screen. If I pay for no ads, I expect NO ads, not just seeing YOUR ads. After contacting the developer about this, they said in a Zendesk email reply “In the window you mentioned you can see the ads of our other games, we decided to leave this so players can see and check them out.” Nothing in their current TOS says they will do this, that would be fraud... Physics and collision: Absolutely terrible. You can go in a perfectly straight line in flat terrain and still get knocked off to a hard left or right without hitting anything. It’s awful. On world 2 you get this new fun dynamic where if you hit a ramp too fast, your car clips on the ramp and you come to a complete stop with the front of your car stuck in the ramp at a 90 degree angle. The “Engine” upgrade: No matter how much you upgrade this, there is no change to speed, control or distance you get from your vehicle. At the time of writing seems completely pointless unless we’re all missing something here. Would love to hear what the devs have to say and what kind of “update” we’ll get next.

    Broken game

World 2 level 9-0 is so broken it was like the game didn’t want you to pass it because there is no content after you beat world 2. I’ve experienced this on several other levels where it was like there is an invisible object causing you to spin/flip out of control or stop all together. Going off ramps is consistently inconsistent, as mentioned there are invisible objects, one time you can use a certain percentage and over shoot it and another time you under shoot it, this is without changing any upgrades to the slingshot or engine for the same level. Encountered a bug on a level where you would just fall through the world and the game was stuck since the car was still moving. Discovered a problem on World 2 level 10-0 a car collided with an invisible wall, then launched into the air, the car behind it just stopped and all the cars did the same thing until they created a blockade and just had to launch into them. You can try to launch fast enough and hope you don’t collide with another car. Closing the game doesn’t fix the problem either.

    CAUTION MORE ADS THAN GAMEPLAY

This is horrible. I understand developers need to post ads for revenue but this is outright ridiculous. It takes about 10 seconds for an attempt that you clearly cannot make due to lack of power in your slingshot. So you are forced to keep replaying the round in order to build up coins to upgrade equipment and make attempt. That part would be fine I get the need to grind and have better equipment. The problem is there is a 30 second add every other game. At first there were no ads for the first few levels to hook you and then they started coming non stop. These greedy developers need to focus on building a game that hooks the player in more and less on a game that forces pop ups on them. Give them the incentive to watch ads to upgrade their parts in the game and save time but don’t force them to watch them just purely for playing the game.

    Not worth time and annoying

I downloaded this game as a time waster because that’s the kind of game it looks like, good to fling the car a few times while you’re waiting on something but there isn’t enough return on time to play it even as a time waster(and I had a pretty low bar). The car takes way too long to respawn, it rolls forever and if you wanna skip this pointless rolling then it’s gonna cost you coins for some odd reason and when you do need it to roll because it’s headed towards the goal it stops rolling. The car also rarely flys where you pointed it. It is also brutal when you’re trying to get upgrades without watching ads, you have the very often mandatory ad and then you can watch ads to get upgrades but if you don’t choose to utilize this option then it takes wayyyyy too long to get an upgrade for the kind of game it is.
