How does it Work?

Welcome to the official Cheech and Chong Bud Farm mobile weed game, your marijuana and cannabis gaming headquarters. Come back in time to the 1970s, in the early days of Bud Farm, where Cheech and Chong have stumbled across a sleepy little town in California.

Cheech and Chong find themselves stranded in the tiny hamlet of Hierba Verde (“Green Herb”). With nothing to be found, they start their own cannabis business, and stumble backwards into a lucrative marijuana empire. With the crooked mayor in their back-pocket, the boys are on their way to striking it rich and living out their days lying on a beach like sun-kings. Unfortunately for them, Stadanko is bent on putting them in jail for life. With the help a freaky cast of supporting characters, Cheech and Chong will chase their dreams of weed fame and fortune, while staying one step ahead of Stadanko.

Cheech and Chong Bud Farm is a free-to-download and play game, but some game items can be purchased for real money. A network connection is not required, but you will have limited access to in-game functions.

With Cheech and Chong Bud Farm, this culture has found its home.

    Great game, but please help

Its a really fun game so I don't wanna give less than 5 stars but I’ve been having an issue with app where it just wont play the sound. I have to connect to my airpods just to be able to activate the sound. I’ve tried force closing the app, i restarted my phone, i went into my settings to make sure the game sound was on, and i went into the settings in the game to tap the sound icon on and off to try to get it to play. Right now i left my airpods at work so I have to play with no sound and it’s kind of depressing cause i really enjoy the music and sounds the game makes.

Great customer support! Really fun game.

First, I want to say is that I hardly ever write a review unless it’s truly something awesome. The game is a fun and entertaining game, it keeps me engaged. You will definitely lose track of time trying to get to the next level. Second, I never spend real money on a game, yet you can still progress and enjoy the gameplay. Lastly there have been some growing pains in the app and I’ve found a few flaws, but the customer service is very attentive and very helpful. If you are looking for a fun game to spend time, this is it.

    So far so groovy ✨

It’s a classic “bud farm” type game, although I do wish you got to tend to the buds. I don’t mind it being more storyline based, though, it’s funny and entertaining. Cheech & Chong fans will surely get a kick out of it as they stay true to character. If I had to change anything, it would be the ability to make your own choices more often, as they game sometimes prompts you to do activities in which you don’t have a choice, just to make it feel a lottle more personable.

    Started me over..

Update: I was contacted by the developers and they were quick to help me fix my account so I can keep playing! I play a few of their other games too and the content and customer service is always top notch for mobile apps I did enjoy playing this and put in many hours but the last update also started me over after asking me to sync my save data or something.

    Very addictive click-bait

I have been playing for 2/3 weeks, am on level 13, and have gotten half-way through some of the special events. I do not pay money (on principal) on phone apps/games, so I know I will never get farther than that. This is also why I have to wait for the “ads” to pop up so that I can watch them and gain buds. I sit through probably half an hour of ads a day just to play this and feel like I’m making progress. Yes, I have a job and a life, but this game is addictive and makes me want to keep playing to see how far I can get quickly. And the storylines are amusing, so I keep playing to see the character development. Long story short: please consider alternative ways for users to gain buds (chests don’t pay out much, especially when it takes 750 buds to upgrade one character). Thanks!!!

    Crazy L

I love the game. I give it a moderate score because: Good - storyline is cute; it’s easy to check in to make upgrades and leave if you’ve a busy schedule; the rewards of tournaments tie into the episodes fairly smooth. That being said, Negative - the tournaments are disappointing. The 22-28hr tournaments force purchases to automate 3 out of 5 businesses; all customer bonuses are, bronze and sliver alike, cards (most of which are cards you already have an abundance of); there are no DAILY freebies like similar, competitive apps do; there aren’t many incentives built into the “dot” rewards to make up for the nonexistent tourney ranking prizes. The 96-98hr tournaments have ranking rewards but they’re not as competitive as they could be or should be considering the difficulty level of getting the character cards necessary to automate the #3-6 businesses; if you don’t buy buds, you will not rank above 100, or at all with the exception of long time players who’ve accumulated a high number of diamonds to get buds or time advances. There’s a HUGE difference between challenging players to keep their interest and difficulty levels set to encourage purchases. People DO NOT hang around or continue to play if you’re made to feel defeated from getting anywhere after trying to automate a business for hours.

    Kinda bland

Not interactive enough, the game consists of pressing buttons and waiting. There is no real payoff. You make tons of money instantly but, the levels reset and you start from scratch. The soundtrack is fantastic. I’m a real dude. And live in Alabama, I play the bass and enjoy the runs on the song with the reverse guitar sounds. The game just isn’t fun. It’s as much of a time waster as smoking weed. Maybe I’m not high enough to enjoy it. Some people won’t be. I grew up on Cheech and Chong, this is a ribald and dumbed down introducing of the comics to a millennial generation that will think their parents are retarded. You can do better, inject some life into this game. It doesn’t grab you, so far there is no sex, the games about weed man! You already upset some people. There should be more samples, as you make money perhaps licensing will be affordable. It’s BORING and unfunny. The characters are not culled from the movies enough they are semi reasonable facsimiles. You can’t hear the songs they perform or go into the stores or churches. These two are about personality and this game falls short. I’m sure they are unimpressed, as I am and I’m not a legend nor is this app. It’s not a game enough to give it such nomenclature.

    Same Game, Famous Character Package

While I would like to give this a 5 star review since it’s a Cheech & Chong based game, I honestly can’t due to the fact that this is just a repackaged version of their “Bud Farm” game, just with Cheech & Chong branding. Same storyline, slightly altered to fit the Cheech & Chong universe, Same special events that are impossible to do unless you spend a crap ton of money on to get the premium characters, same, same, same. If you’ve played “Bud Farm”, I would say don’t bother with this unless you really like Cheech & Chong. If you haven’t played “Bud Farm”, then just play this one and skip the other. Trust me, you won’t be missing much.

    To long to go anywhere

It’s a overall great game ... but it’s definitely laid back like the real ones. I don’t usually write a review but this one is way to time consuming, if you don’t pay real money . For me I’ve been playing nonstop (running all night too) for 3 days now I’m at level 3 ! So if you’re not very patient this isn’t worth all the space it takes to have it on your phone. All you do is read the dialogues and collect money to build.. you then LOSE all you had when you level up. Awesome graphics tho. Will revise of this game gets any better if I keep it.

    Slow, pointless.

Ads. Like ads? Well, this game is for you. Not only is just about anything you do requires you to sit through ads, but the ads are on average 30 seconds long, with no way to skip them after a reasonable amount of time. Not to mention that the ads are the same crap games developed in some cookie cutter factory in China or Russia. And the gameplay, even after sitting though all those ads, is frustratingly boring, endless button mashing, then waiting for you to build up enough buds to upgrade characters to only find out you need to upgrade again for more buds. In the early stages of the game, it flows fairly evenly, but as you progress, it can take days to generate enough materials to get anywhere, only to start over and have to build everything back up again. The worst is the card generation and upgrades. In order to automate your cash flow, you need to gather buds and cards. But the cards and buds are randomly generated as you progress, and you can find yourself unable to upgrade cash flow at all. Lame attempt by the devs to generate micro transactions. As if the annoying ads weren’t bad enough. Ugh.

    Was once a great.

This game constantly has different and creative events which you will lose hours on. Please be cautious because they app has many issues lately. Evidence lockers won’t open causing you to miss vital items to help in your progress. As well as all your progress being purged and needing to start event again losing all cards, buds and diamonds that you spent to help achieve the bigger prizes. When there is a multi day event and your just hours from a great event and PUFF it is all gone and no response from app support with options. So be cautious and be prepared to be disappointed often by the glitches on the events and try not to invest to much.

    Disappointed

I’ve played this game since it came out as well as the original for almost two years... the last few months are painfully obvious what you’re doing, on both games. I save my gems and even spend money from time to time. The last 20 events or so: you’ve made it impossible to complete an event without buying anything. It’s ridiculous that games keep doing this. No reason I should be waiting in the same character to became available for two days!!!! It’s surely there to buy though, and doesn’t become available until the last day of the event. It’s not fun anymore, you can’t even get halfway through an event with blasting every gem you have and spending more money and still can’t complete and event! Both games get this review after I’ve been a fan for a long time. Very disappointing and again, not fun anymore.

    Event play

Would of gave this game a 5+ rating, but there are some issues with it one of the issues is dealing with the events, they are toooooooo short and it’s hard to get buds to upgrade characters and buildings especially when the ads don’t want to play unless I pay for them which brings me to the second issue the game seems like it’s based on a pay to win crap, I do enjoy playing this game but I refuse to pay when I need Buds, cards, or gems and this brings me too issue three the gems what and the world is going on this is another problem getting gems why have things that you can buy with gems in the shop when it’s hard to get those too unless u reach your pocket and pay for them. Why make a game that’s based on making a buck instead of making it fun and exciting with little mini games to get the things needed in the game to win?

    Game play

I’ve been playing this “game” for quite some time now, and it used to be a good time killer. However, for the last couple of months it has been more like a computer program that runs itself. It’s been 2 months since there have been new episodes in the main game, and in the events the intro always says there are diamonds hidden in the game chests, but there really aren’t. Ads crash constantly causing you to have close out and reopen the app, sometimes numerous times, and if you send an email to the developers they always reply with something that places blame on your internet or your phone, it’s never anything on their end. This game used to be fun, now it’s more like watching a video and occasionally interacting.
