    Worth checking out.

(Original post)”The game is simple and fun... but has a lot of issues. Enemy, ally and your own troops have terrible pathfinding and get stuck on each other, not being able to pass through allied troops. The game starts off easily enough and slowly gets more difficult, until you hit the paywall. Once you hit the paywall and have to watch ads, the games difficulty ramps up considerably. You can merge troops up to for times, to have an four star army. Yet, I’ve seen numerous times where your own four star troops get wrecked by one star enemies! Play for a few stages and then delete.” Updated Review: Game balance has been fixed and you don’t get stomped by inferior army. Pathfinding has improved, but still has some issues. Chests randomly spawning in the world add a welcomed randomness and exploration incentive. I deleted this game and forgot about it. The dev actually responded to me very first review and I decided to give it a second look and I’m glad I did. Thank you to the dev and I even bought the game instead of playing free. Good job and keep up the work, you have something special that can get even grander.

    Absolutely Love This Game!

This game is simple yet challenging in the late game. I haven’t bought plus yet but I plan to as soon as I’m finished with the quests. This game is nearly perfect in my eyes but if you’re open to suggestions I would love to see a PvP, higher level castles, and maybe army formations. Now I know that seems pretty different than the other two but I always find myself building a decent sized army before attacking my opponents. Being able to create groups of soldiers and set them in formations would be amazing. I also love to surround my enemies and place the soldiers around them in guard mode to see how the ai reacts. Maybe creating a feature where the troops in said formation will automatically reinforce the troops in the frontline as they fall in battle. Just a few suggestions I would love to see added but even if they aren’t I will still love this game. Very unique and interesting rts. You don’t see many like this nowadays. Thank you

    Great game

Super fun game, nice concepts. Love the land generator part of it and that towards the middle and end your land blocks regenerate really fast, just makes it more fun. The challenge does go pretty flat pretty fast. Only time I ever lost a game was the one where you have an ally that is separated from you and Tan kept taking him out super fast. Other then that, never lost a match at all. Kinda bummed out about that cause I beat the game pretty quick and I’m not dropping three bucks for 6 more minutes of gameplay. Tech tree is nice and simple, nice bit of micro with planting corn. Don’t like that your troops auto destroy enemy corn, usually you are queuing troops to take castles or push and you want that corn for yourself. There needs to be one more zoom setting ( close up, mid, and FULL map view). The edges of the map need to be more clearly defined so you know which way to push at the start or where your safe edge is. Would loved to see the ability to sacrifice a knight to destroy a block of land for some sort of tactical retreat, or maybe it takes two your land building blocks to destroy one land block. The unit merge is for sure needed. Too much micro to manually merge them, good choice Dev. Nice and simple game, great to play on the phone. Was able to rush the enemy and they never had a response for it. Loved seeing a random land bridge form and enemy pour into my land. Loved building land bridges and pouring into the enemy land.

GLITCH driving me INSANE PLZ FIX

I was waiting to rate this and review until we passed what felt like “the tutorial” levels... and it’s genuinely SUCH a great game, but I have tried EVERYTHING, including resetting and redo-ing every lead up level twice, but once I’ve done the first four the 5th acts like it’s choosable but does nothing when I click it. Undownloaded the game and re-downloaded, checked for iPad updates, nothing. Tried looking for a paid version too! Nope! So, I can’t genuinely SEE what kind of game this is once you get into it, because I’m not allowed to progress into level five. PLEASE FIX THIS SO I CAN PLAY THIS SEEMINGLY AWESOME GAME.

    Better than expected by far

A surprisingly very fun game! A little bit of confusion on small things that you figure out / understand better after playing a little bit. Like how to start the farm and how to get resources faster and such The games are actually rather long depending on your strategy. Some rounds took me almost a full 30 minutes! Others I did In 5-10 min. Only 1 ad before starting a new round which is amazing considering that’s 30 seconds every 5-30 minutes. Rounds are never interrupted with ads which is something I despise so I was very happy about this! there is a free portion (16 levels) and an extra 8 levels in the paid version. I normally don’t buy games for my phone I stick to free stuff but this was well made and fun! I did not purchase yet as there are only 8 more levels left. If there are more coming I would definitely buy the paid version Good game developers and people! I hope y’all have more coming!

To the developer I think you made an amazing game with great potential I think more ideas to this game can really make it more exciting such as troop type or different civilizations or special abilities but also I would like to add that for me to have to pay for the full experience of the game makes it feel like a rip off so I would think it is better to include the whole game and make your money off ads and then make people pay for not having ads, thank you for this game and I’m looking forward for the next update and I hope you take my points to heart.

Simple and fun, but maybe a little *too* simple.

The core gameplay is fun, and that’s the most important part of any game. However, I’m curious as to whether it was intended to be as frantic and stressful as it gets when you have to manage everything at once. I also don’t quite understand how roads are placed. As far as I can tell, a soldier will place a road if they move to a clear tile after they’ve been spawned, but they won’t place it if you move them back onto the castle and move elsewhere. Some consistency to make winning battles consist of more than just upgrades and prayer would also make things a little more satisfying. No crazy detailed stuff, of course, but at the very least a little transparency on what is going on in a battle; what each side’s chances are and why things are happening. I want to know what the odds were for my one soldier to beat three others. But again, very fun at its core, wouldn’t change fundamentally how the game plays. Looking forward to your future work.

    Addicting

Very simple which I think is fun only thing I would want to change is for there to be an option to turn off holding to mark a point that screws me over. Something I would like to see is for people to have capitals with different look exc. and allowing more cpu in skirmishes. Maybe more levels, level 10 is ridiculous I can’t seem to beat it. Walls would be cool to build around your cities maybe if that’s jus for capitals. I think little add ins and updates every so often would keep me interested if there’s something new. Great game tho! Quick add on as I’ve been playing I’ve realized I would really like the option to make multiple points it’s really hard to micromanage the entire map at once trying to keep people in place.

Major bug preventing higher rating (EDITED)

I’m not sure why, but the game seems to refuse to let me start the 5th level. It is a lot of fun and I’m really starting to get the hang of it, but only having 4 levels really kills the mood. EDIT: The 5th level is working, now. I don’t know what changed, but it let me play and continue beyond. The game gets a little easy and repetitive, but I’m also not too far in, yet. Definitely earned the 4th star. If there was a little more to do in each level (like highest level castles let you build walls, arrow turrets, traps, any one of them but not all of them), I feel like you could add a little more strategy on top of just building up land and moving/building. Not much more, but something.

    This is a fun game!

I don’t do reviews very much but this game warranted a review. I buzzed right through the quests and am enjoying the skirmish’s as well. The 12th quest is not that difficult but the 11th I found very tough. My only issue is the rally feature. It seems that if there is not enough space for the troops to rally around, a good portion of the units will then move around the base instead of merging or populating around the rally point. This has caused me to lose a few battles but it doesn’t take away from the experience. Very fun game. Worth the couple bucks to purchase. I hope there’s more quests coming!

I will update my review in the next big update. (If there is one)

I really like the concept of this game and I really want to see how it grows but, there are a lot of things that I find frustrating and somewhat annoying for example: the navigation system, I like that there’s a zoom which allows you to see more of the map but I find it very annoying that all to controls disappear the game lets us see too little of the of the map which makes it harder to play and the controls seem like they are all Cramed together which makes it even harder to see and when you try to zoom out all the controls disappear and you can’t see how many recourses you have. I think that one way to resolve this issue is to allow the player to “pinch” to zoom in and out while still keeping the resource indicator. This is one of the biggest issues. To sum it all up I think that this game will be a lot more fun if these issues get fixed and I hope that my opinion is helpful and if you actually read through all that great job :) (it ended up being a lot longer than I was thinking sry).

    Good premise but needs work

I like the simple style, it’s really easy to get into. I encountered a couple of bugs where my touch inputs weren’t recognized. When your army gets bigger it also becomes harder to control since soldiers don’t pass through each other when they are a full unit, it becomes a mess. Plus the action to order a troop to defend a place gets overwritten by the “rendezvous all troops”, it becomes frustrating since i have to control each troop to go where i want them to so that other troops stay in place, it makes the game longer than it should be. Overall great premise but rough around the edges, i would recommend it if the gameplay became more fluid.

A good start but has issues.

Pros 1. Simple and easy to understand most of the time. 2. Game art is pleasant to look at. Cons 1. No information or feedback regarding how soldiers win battles against other soldiers. (e.g. how does my level 3 soldier lose against a level 1 enemy soldier?) A stat sheet of some sort would be helpful. 2. Upgrading forts doesn’t seem to affect its strength against enemy soldiers (e.g. my level 4 fort somehow was taken over by a level 1 enemy soldier.) 3. Soldier movements are clunky: Allied soldiers can’t pass through one another, soldiers unintentionally merge with one another, and sometimes soldiers won’t enter my own fort to defend it. 4. After a certain number of my own soldiers had spawned on the map, the game froze. Could not load my file after restarting. 5. Certain button and icon functions are unclear. Despite not being mentioned in the tutorial, I figured out what the red button with the crosshairs did. However, when you select a fort, the soldier training progress bar on the bottom right sometimes has an exclamation mark next to it. What does this mean? Final Thoughts I like RTS games, even if they’re super simple, which is why this game appealed to me. This has potential but needs attention to the cons I listed. Until then, I could not justify spending money on this.

    Lots of potential needs work

This game is cleanly designed despite being buggy and plays very well. At its core its a GREAT game. I only would like to see more depth. I paid in hoping the dev can put some work into the game. Here are some things I realized. 1) The tutorial doesn't explain the red button. It seems like a target but when units cant reach it they return to their origin castle which is frustrating 2) We need some sort of queue or buffer so you can tackle multiple things at once (ie queue a building upgrade so you don't have to scroll back and forth) 3) Some sort of benefit for stacked units should be added. A single soldier should not be able to take out my 3 or 4 level buildings consistently 3) There needs to be some sort of automation or queuing or else its impossible to handle 20+ units in a game if you can only select by single unit blocks.
