If you like strategy this is your game

Highly strategic game, lots of different game modes to keep you entertained. Still a new game so I’m assuming the guild/alliance aspect is on the way. Besides that it’s also friendly for F2P which is a huge bonus. That and it’s a game of thrones RPG, what’s better than that lol. If your sick of paying to keep up with MSF and it’s constant onslaught of new characters you have to pay for, try this out. Players use to MSF and SWGOH will be use to the game play format for the most part but the big difference here is the battle maps. Each battle takes place on a different map with a limited amount of movement spaces (some units shoot more than 1 square like archers and some move many squares like horsemen). This makes for very interesting battles that force players to have to use their brains (not their wallets) to win the battle.

Needs a Multi Hero Game Mode

Really enjoying this game so far, the gameplay itself is fun and I love that new hero characters such as king in the north Jon Snow and dragonstone Daenerys can be acquired and upgraded through challenges instead of being locked behind a pay wall like in similar games. I agree with other reviews that I’ve seen about some materials like novice insignias being hard to find but it hasn’t been a huge issue for me. The only thing the game is missing that I would love to see added would be a mode where you can use multiple heroes at once, a huge part of what interested me about this game was assembling a team of my favorite game of thrones characters and battling with them so it’s a bummer when I have to leave favorites like Jon snow on the sideline while I use a random archer from the riverlands

    New content/strategies/heros?

NO BUG ISSUES SO DISREGARD THOSE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS GAME BEING BUGGY (I just wanted to put this at the top because there’s a lot of complaints about bugs recently on these reviews and those are fixed. I’d give the developer of this app 5 stars) I’m a GOT nut so it’s pretty much the only reason I downloaded the game as I don’t really play games on my phone. So I’m guessing the daily tasks are similar to other games but after a year, it’s getting kind of stale. I have hopes that the developer will get a boost in downloads once the new GOT series starts butI am only giving it four stars because it has gotten rather stale as of late. Every day is a monotonous 20-25 minute grind of doing the same thing I did yesterday with very little change or challenge, very little PvP activity and...for god’s sakes,Please start rolling out some different heroes. We don’t need another John snow, Tormund or Denarius! I’ll understand it’s an issue with HBO and their IP or if the developer plans to release characters later when the series gets closer to release on hbo , but if not, let’s start rolling out the other GOT characters.... I’m just saying, Give me Arya Stark with a crazy wicked dagger ability and i’ll happily change this to a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Great Tactical Game

I would agree with a previous review someone wrote. Ignore the bad reviews. When the world finally gets a great game, we have people that like to nit pick on small things like graphics and actually having to utilize strategy. The graphics aren’t the end of the world, it’s good with the amount of work they’ve put into the game. Gameplay; the fact that you actually have to be smart strategy wise...heck yeah to the developers on that. There are many tactical games that are full of micro transactions and in order to win its pay to win. You don’t really run through the problem with this game. It’s based on how smart you build your arsenal of characters and balance proper strategy in combat. Love the game so far, keep it up developers. Ignore the petty comments guys

1st day, fun but NO ladies

3rd r3view: may 15 20 we finally get to win a red head girl as 3rd female in game but still Can’t get the females, it’s 97% male characters & 3% female tease with (0) Zero chances of getting any female characters unless we pay.! We can’t get the blonde with the dragon unless we pay for it ? 2nd review: yup it’s actually 100% male characters & zero chance of getting the only 2 girls they have, a blonde or brunette, which we Have to buy. We can only purchase the female characters so We’ll Stop playing for a month to see if it changes & I’ll play iron throne instead. We got a free dragon, female characters right away plus second characters in 2 seconds. Thanks for making my choice.*

    Thoughts

Beautiful. With one of the better battle systems out there. Love the variety of tasks to accomplish. And would love more. Upgrading units and hero’s is on point. Gathering upgrade materials could be less sparse, especially to upgrade multiple hero’s and a wide variety of units. I hope to see more hero’s in the future events like Brianne of Tarth, Bravosi Arya, Axe wielding Tyrion, Last Stand Theon, and Ramsey from the show. Even hero’s from the lore of the books are Luke great. Could use some more multiplayer functions. Like a war with alliances. A multi chat function would be fun as well. With a global/server chat. All around great game so far.

    It was fun, until...

So, off the bat I progressed nicely. Rather than rushing through the story arc I took my time, farming up the components to upgrade my main troops in the barracks, especially their gear. As a result I managed to get my top three troops to gold or higher, but where I run into issues is leveling them up. Novice insignia are just way too slow to acquire! I have like 50 veteran insignia saved up that I can’t use because I can’t get novice insignia fast enough. This makes no sense. As a result I’m now stuck in chapter 6, I believe. My troops are stuck at level 40 and will be for a long time until I can save up enough novice insignia. Meanwhile I can make it into the top 500 or better in hero arena so I know I’m not that weak respectively, I had a 30+ win streak last season. As it is I’ve grown bored with the ridiculous grind to accumulate the lowest value component for upgrading my troops, the silly novice insignia. You should at least be guaranteed those on weirwood runs, and drop rates are abysmal. Fun game, but as I powered through til now it feels like a paywall, so I’ll be not playing until I see some balancing changes. Uninstalled until a later date, sadly. Fun game for a few weeks though, if you fixed the novice insignia drop rates the rest would be fine, but as that’s a crucial game element you get three stars. Thanks for the good time til now though!

    It’s ok...

Graphics and sound could be better... combat could be a little more impressive than just the same swinging animation with a sword all the time, there’s so many games out there with amazing almost console/PC level graphics and sound that it’s pretty disappointing that there was so much wait and suspense for the release of this game and it’s not even close to par with the top tier mobile games in its class. The story, however so far seems engaging. But take that for a grain of salt because I am not too far into it yet to determine how much it relates or tries to relate to the source material. I do (kind of) like the “ultimate attack” animations, but that might just be because it’s a break from the normal combat animations I might get tired of those the more I see them. They don’t seem too spectacular though, I’ll admit. Jon Snow I would have hoped his Night’s Watch version would have had Ghost available to him as a partner or at least as an ability cast, I feel like that was a wasted opportunity. Overall I give this game 3 stars; it’s not terrible, but it could have been so much better. With games like SWGOH that came out years ago and put this game to shame animation and graphics-wise, I sure hope The devs have something up their sleeves to improve on this game somehow. GOT is my favorite TV franchise and I was so excited about this one.

    Fun but not fun

The game is fun, you can clear your dailies fairly quick. I love the GOT series and turn based strategy games, so this game really hit the spot. The loss of two stars is from the progression system and the exceedingly over priced store. If you start out leveling a few characters but somehow random the star upgrade to gold or ++ in another it will take weeks of grinding the materials to upgrade the new characters even into low levels. If I was end game, great, but I’m no where close to that stage. Novice badges should NOT be this rare or the upgrades should be less for novice because they’re all for the lower level characters. The store is so overprice it’s insane and I almost deleted the game today just looking at the prices. If I leave this game, it’s because of the high market prices... The subscription is seriously $5 a week!! It’s 2x-4x more than it should be and you barely get anything for it.

The game isn’t as good as you think

The game became slow with boring game content that requires to much of your time. But the worst part that bugged me from the start is that you can’t work towards unlock barrack characters you don’t have. You can only get them by drawing cards. Well I started playing about a month after it came out and retired last week and was still missing one character. It’s the biggest flaw in the game and don’t ever retire and on them because you lose them and never know when you’ll get them back. Thankfully I never retired any of mine, that was and is the stupidest option in a game I’ve ever seen. You need well over 2hrs a day to do a lot of repetitive crap. They are alway releasing new characters but extremely slow with game content. It also became harder and harder to build the few characters that were worth the resources which further slowed things down and added to the growing boredom. I’ve waited a few days before writing this so I could compose a solid review and I don’t miss the game one bit. The developers are not the best. Enjoy the game if you’re new but just know it wont last so don’t waste any money, it’s not needed

So-so game under a famous IP

It is just another so-so game under a famous IP. From the beginning of the game, from the cinematic, you can feel the team wants to replicate the TV-show like experience. But with the pure text, no voice over and terrible background music, the game immediately feels cheap. The stories before and after each level in story mode are dry, after a couple ones later, I skip all of them in the later game. It just wasting time. The battle is fairly simple, you don’t need to think too much. As long as your troops are strong, you can win with auto play. The sub systems are plentiful as this type of games should be. The troops and heroes upgrade options are also quite rich, but more or less are same and very linear. The resource sink of each upgrade options are deep, all well designed for asking for money from players. Overall, this game is poorly made. And the goal is very clear, try to squeeze as much money as possible from the fans as possible.

    Not really worth the download

As a huge GRRM fan, I was excited to see a game beginning before the book series. Preregistered download, got a few things but nothing really worthwhile. Game crashes, but I chalked it up to numerous players on probably a single server. Difficult to really upgrade, you could be grinding for a while, so be prepared. Summoning system pretty typical for games nowadays. Really pushing the pay to play with this. Even though it may not seem like it, midway through the second chapter you get stuck. So either grind it out to upgrade (which I normally really like to do), or hand over the cash. Animation and sound(music) are very subpar. This is a strategy/turned based game, where the key is strategy to get past the tougher opponents. But they have the ever present auto function. Which completely defeats the purpose. Auto select to pick troops, auto run challenges, really makes it eye rolling. The storyline is ok(not horrible, but definitely not great). But the things that are going to make me uninstall are the pay to play, auto run features, and lack of good sound/music). It was fun for the first hour or so, but after that the game really lost my interest. As I mentioned before I’m a huge GRRM fan, but they really took liberties and missed out on a lot they could have put in this game. In conclusion, I can only give one star, it’s ok for the first hour or two or three, but after the game is not as enjoyable as we were led to believe.

    Pay to win

This game becomes to hard so fast after chapter one. I’m guessing all the paid bundles and cash grabs must be bought in order to do well. Everyone look else’s where. They try to hit your wallet and it’s not worth with these bad graphics. Everything’s shards is kind of bull. With a very low low odds for a gold character. This game was made not to be played long if you notice you can switch servers, this is what makes it stupid and more of a cash grab like you not doing to hot. Well go switch servers to a new one and spend money and you could be top one in that server instead. Games with more than one server made for your region makes me sick of this crap. People have more fun in a big server vs cash grab small ones. I get it that it would make you money for big money spenders that would server hope but lose people because servers during. Government needs to put a law against cash grabs that will try to scam people out of money. At least the updated gambling laws a coming soon.

Very little good about this game

I was pretty excited for this game preordered and everything. Then I played it. Character models are terrible they barely even resemble their real life counterparts. The fighting is so boring I just keep pressing auto cause it’s that boring and requires no strategy. I play games like marvel strike force and thought it would be cool to have a GOT version of that. That is not what this is. I was disappointed I couldn’t even use to “heroes” at the same time. Just a complete let down. There is nothing even exciting about the characters that makes me want to collect them. I will keep playing every now and then just in hopes they either make it better or maybe this early review was too early but if something doesn’t change I’ll be dropping this game quick . So far it’s been nothing but an uninspired waste of time oh and the cutscenes and story are pretty terrible as well sooooo boring .
