Great game, Needs Some Tweaking Though

I’ve played this game for a few years, though I had to stop playing since it got rather laggy on my previous phone. It works very well on my new phone, though I’ve still experienced one thing I’ve come across while playing, and that’s the difficulty of fighting crowds of zombies. Sometimes I can mow through them, which makes sense since I’m 100,000 or even 150,000 power above, depending on the level the crowd is. However, other times the enemies somehow take down my group of soldiers like nobody’s business even though I have a lot more power. Even if I have superior equipment and/or weapons for my CC level too. It feels like it’s always a 50/50 chance for my group to either win in the scenario, or get absolutely decimated in it. Especially where, by the numbers, they would have won without a doubt. So I feel that would need some tweaking to say the least. Besides that, I love the game, and it’s really good, it has this utopian apocalyptic city feel which I’m sure was intended.

    Can Live Without Zero City

I have been playing for about a year now and I am addicted. I try to resist spending money on the game, but find that what is offered is just too good to pass up. Holy Crap Batman! I spend about $99 per month. I will admit that people play without spending cash. I will also admit that what I purchase does not seem to imbalance the game. It is more like adds flavor to the game. For instance, there was a mind control helmet during st. Patrick’s day. Well.... I just had to have it! Delicious. Does it make the opponents brain dead and in my power? No. But it sure is cool. Anyway, I spend on flavor not power. I think the game designers have done a perfect job. I would ask for a tiger that I could have roaming my base instead of a dog. I am NOT a dog person. Yuck to dogs...

    Amazing game✨

This game is absolutely fantastic, I can’t put together any words for how good this game is. The fact that you can interact with players is great. The community is great people are not toxic they are helpful and super generous. There is one thing though cause I’m super addicted to the game and love everything about it. I wanna play it all the time but sometimes I can’t cause when you’re upgrading the rooms they take so long, I get you can skip it but it’s so expensive to skip. If the time was at least a little shorter it would be perfect. Also I don’t take the time out of my day to write reviews on a game so this is the only mobile game that I’ve taken the time to write a review because I like it so much.

    Not p2p

Don’t listen to all this b.s. You don’t have to pay to play, but to be the 1st in any game is gonna be expensive. I don’t need to feel fruition from a video game, But if I did, I would think this is a good game to start with. Don’t let the peer pressure make you spend, but I’m sure that’s the driving factor. You can have fun with this game and play casually, just don’t join a clan lol. Build it yourself and then jump into the fight when you’re ready. There’s not rush to kill people, but if you rush you will be destroyed.

    Love it! Only problem is...

I love this game. Very good reward system through the whole game. i’m currently level 21, and have been playing for a few weeks. It’s not a pay to win game and the options you can pay for are actually really tempting because they are such low prices! I love this game so far, but the only problem is the arena system... My first 10 tickets used at the arena were decent match ups, sometimes it was a little annoying because of how much the strength level between teams ranged, but I was fine with it. Until recently. The past 4 tickets i’ve used have been wasted, because I was put in an arena with people 300k strength higher than me... No chance of winning that at all. I’m literally one of the 3 weakest people in arena now, when there are people who are so powerful in the weaker arenas, and people so weak in the powerful arenas. I would much appreciate it if this problem could get fixed! Thank you so much

Fascinating game, good design, but too impatient to have your money!

This game is great indeed, with graphics superior to many of the same type and an interesting play to keep you hooked on and interested. There’s just one drawback; you crash head on with the cash wall TOO soon in the game. I’ve been a player for such a long time, and don’t mind waiting, but even for a patient and easygoing player like me, who doesn’t care dropping a buck or two every now and then in a game, there is a limit to overstretching the patience for upgrading a building or a character, and no matter how interested I am, if the wait is too much, I’d just give up and delete. My advice to the developers: keep the balance; you’ve offered a game to become a fan of, but don’t deter and discourage your players; one wouldn’t mind paying 4 or 5 bucks from time to time as long as they feel their loyalty to the game is rewarded in some other ways.

Good games but requires more attention and reconsideration

Im still playing this game on a daily basis but lets talk for real, upgrade times and training times are huge!! Like if i wanna train one soldier from 70 to 100 it will take more than a month and a half if i dont pay any money to boost that which will also look stupid. There is no way to get enough resources for upgrading at high levels other than raiding players that will eventually raid you back and take it all from you. Alot of new things should be added to increase the interest in the game for the long term. My daily routine is exactly the same there is nothing else to do in the game. And im serious upgrading and training times should be reduced by alot!! I pay sometimes but when everything is literally p2w its gonna make me lose interest and quit the game.

    $$$ Grabbing 4 Sure

Okay, I’m not going to say this is a bad game, it isn’t, no ads every ten seconds, good mechanics, a storyline, but the pay to win is insanely high 4 no reason, I was matched with another who must’ve bought all the starter packs and he got crushed, again, we were matched, our armor and weapon stats were almost identical and he still lost after paying PHYSICAL money, to anyone reading this, don’t fall for the starter packs, sure, they’ll do you good at the start, but things like the fathers grenade and the lumberjacks stuff means nothing because your just going to lose a lot when you equip them. Also, can’t we just pay like, $10 for PERMENANY premium? That eats up money like a wildfire, same with the zombie assistant, if you want us to buy them, make them permenant, so we got a reason to. Lastly, the lumber, my god the lumber, I have the best defense I can muster right now, two rifles a chemist and a melee, I am trying to save up as much lumber as I can for the level 7 command center, but that’s impossible when I get raided three times a day by people 10x stronger than me! They steal all my lumber and I have to start over, and then it happens again! Please make it to where when you raid you only get resources and not steal them? Like when you raid, victory gives you resources without stealing from the other player, especially when they spent days getting that lumber but you just stole it from them.

    One big problem

First things first. I do like the game overall, and for me that’s saying something. I usually steer clear of pay to win games unless they have other areas I can enjoy without constantly spending money on them, which to be clear, I’ve spent over $100 on this game so far so I ought to be having a chance to win by now and I’m not. And this brings me to the one major problem I have with this game: the matchmaking system. I’m up to 5 fighters in my squad now and I’m so heavily uptiered my squad doesn’t stand a chance in the arena. When I say uptiered, my squad power is 185,000 and my squad hit points are 59,000. And the closest matchup I’ve gotten in the arena was an opponent that had twice of both of those numbers. And it doesn’t matter what I do either. No amount of new equipment, weapons, squad arrangements or training improves the situation. The better I make the squad the more I get uptiered. This needs to be fixed. I can’t enjoy a critical part of the game because I’m getting placed in matchups that are WAY beyond the capabilities of my squad.

    Not as shown

The gameplay is not at all what the video that tempted me towards it advertised. The video showed an underground shelter, with resources outside. Where the player would, say, drag woodcutters to trees to harvest wood. But outside was irradiated, so you'd have to drag them back to the shelter toheal them after they got too low. Instead, resource production takes place inside the shelter. You never really send people out. You can attack other players, and that's really the main way of accumulating resources. But if you don't have the top gear, after about a week fighting other players will prove very difficult, rarely winning any pvp fights. Perhaps I'd enjoy it more if I hadn't been mislead about the gameplay to begin with. As is, it's a disappointment because it was something else. (I've played for three weeks thinking maybe I just eventually unlock more features. But no.

    Ads showed something different

I’m removing the game from my phone because the game lacks what I was looking for. Obviously ads for mobile games are sometimes gimmicky and show you amazing details of the game to get you to download it. However the ads for this one just straight up lied. From what I saw the game allowed for customization of characters in game allowing you to change the appearance of your survivors from weight, facial structure, and hair color. That’s what I got the app for. When I began playing there was no option what so ever to customize any of my survivors except changing their name. Another ad was simply to entice children cause it displayed a battle royale type style game and I’m sure that’s not even included either. Other reviews say this game is a cash grab and now that I’ve played its clear that their right, I wouldn’t bother downloading it.

Definitely a cash game, not sure why average good ratings

Ridiculous that I can only protect my resources in vaults unless I am continuously pushing screens in the game. The game automatically times out after a minute of “inactivity”. I get one or two players I can attack with my level 28 because rest ridiculously above my level of power. Levels 30-50+ powers 4x-10x+. So somehow they get to steal my steel 100k when I have 500k in my safe while I only get to obtain maybe 10% 50k at most from one or two attacks every some hours to get another one or two attackable players. 20% take and again 25% take I do not ever get for some reason. I foresee now that it would be days or weeks to accumulate millions of resources required to upgrade unless I buy them with cash. Then the game becomes not attractive only to make it to “powerful huge” player for ego contest. I am abandoning now because if money is the only way to supe up I know that I will never get to the level to actually enjoy playing other than building my fort to catch up others to play together without substantial cash input. I would be ok to buy packs from time to time but from how it has been going on I need to put in at least five figures. If I just want to build I am playing SimCity instead.

This is not a good game and not a good developer

I purchased their $4.99 starter pack why first they entry this game and now is after 3 days. The pack still not in my account. They ask me to wait 24 hours since sometimes their system is bugging. And now is after 72 hours which the pack is expired. I showed them the receipt that this transaction has been finished and they told me since this transaction was sent through apple and they won’t help me. Wow. You will get paid from Apple and you said you won’t help to fix your own bug. And only 2 days they already release update once to fix other bugs. Be aware of this game if you want to spend money to play. They don’t care how bad their system is and they are blind to see your money send to their pocket but still lack of their service. I can show the communication to anyone want to check if my review is true or not. I already asked Apple to refund every penny I spent on this game and uninstalled it. You should do too until this happened to you.

OMG this game is so awful!

I originally gave it 3 stars because I thought it maybe had potential, but after playing it for a whole week I’ve realized that it is irredeemably messed up. Don’t waste your time or money on this. You’ll end doing nothing but watching a bunch of ads while they beg you for money. I did spend some and it made things worse! I went from being matched with people who were only a little stronger than me to being matched with people who are 10 times stronger! It’s incredible how bad this game is! The premium membership doesn’t work the way it’s advertised, rewards fail half the time, the assistant can’t be made permanent and the more you raise your level, the worse off you are. It’s just a total scam. Do they really think making it go from difficult to impossible will get people to pay more money?!? 🤦‍♀️ I’ll go back to playing fallout shelter, at least they’re for real!
