• Tap, rotate, and position red, blue, and yellow capsules to eliminate viruses! Match three objects of the same color vertically or horizontally in this fun, brain-tickling puzzle game.

• Clear stages by getting rid of all the viruses before your limited number of capsules run out.

• Try using leftover half-capsules by dragging them through blocks to fill gaps, or change the order of given capsules by sliding multiple capsules into the stage at the same time.

■Stages with lots of tricky objects

• Over 600 stages across various themed worlds with tons of tricky obstacles!

• Encounter obstacles like blocks that won't break until you clear nearby viruses, cages that won't open unless you clear the key of the same color, and bubbles that will keep floating up unless something above hinders them!

• Discover new stages added every two weeks.

• Diagnose and compare your scores and progress with your friends.

■Mario and friends became doctors?!

• A colorful cast of viruses has Dr. Mario's world in a panic! Dr. Mario and over 30 of his friends have put on lab coats and grabbed capsules! Now they're ready to eliminate those unruly viruses.

    (Nintendo PLEASE read this)

So I have been playing this game since the day it launched and ever since then I have had a blast with Dr Mario World. And yes sometimes the game can get a little frustrating at times but that was the fun of it because it made you determined to get pass that level which was why this game was so addicting for me. There wasn’t really a pay to win sort of thing in this game sure there was the option to get more stuff but if you saved up on enough Doc coins or tickets etc. you could get just as much by not buying anything. My heart went down like a brick when I heard that this game was ending and I still even hadn’t gotten to the last world. And even if I did wanted to beat the game I can’t buy any gems because they did away with that so I might never beat the game. So word of advice for you guys when you make something like this game that is making good profit and people ACTUALLY enjoy the game for once. Don’t just up and end the game entirely just get rid of stuff like the online and go from there until no one cares about it anymore. So my final words on this review is going to be a short one…please Nintendo…make a Doctor Mario game like this one for the switch I’m beginning you…

Most realistic puzzle logic game ever

Nintendo, you’ve made one of the greatest Mario games ever. The concept of getting rid of viruses is easy to understand, but can be hard to master, which makes this game use your logic skills to be put into play. There is some luck involved in some of the levels, mainly the skill summit. Mentors can mess you up sometimes when they use their ability in the not-so efficient way. Versus mode is great, but I do wish some of the doctors get nerfed a bit more if they are used as a specialist. Good example is Dr. Luigi. His ability lasts a bit too long (The max skill level prevents opponents from rotating capsules for 14 seconds and he fills his skill meter faster). That right there might be somewhat overpowered. I know that there is a assistant to counter that, but still, some people don’t have the assistant unlocked yet. The way you unlock more doctors and assistants is a bit unfair. Chances of you getting a doctor or a assistant that you want are slim, but Nintendo does allow you to buy diamonds to allow you to try again and hopefully get the doctor or assistant you want. No major problems with this game, so 5 stars!

Ignore the haters: this is a fun, clever game. And it’s free!

You see here’s the thing with haters: if they have to pay for anything that got all toddler like, throw a tantrum and give a great game one star. Folks. This game is free. Period. End of story. You never need to spend a dime. I played for 8 hours today and couldn’t stop. Sure if you wish to spend money to play longer or power up your character (in essence, cheat your way to victory), go ahead, pay! For me, I love the challenge of no power ups. And if the game says I need to pay more or stop for 10 hours, nothing wrong with that! I need a break! Btw if you and at least 10 friends send heart back and forth to one another you will constantly have a flow of hearts to play with. Bottom line: this is one of Nintendo best phone games. Addictive. Fun. Thrilling. You want slower pace try the story mode. You want edge of your seat fast pace, try the vs mode (which btw right now is always there for you to play. So when main game shuts down for 10 hours, play the great vs mode!). I love this game. Just get it. Don’t spend a dime. Have fun.

Way better than I thought it would be!

After playing super Mario, i thought this would be just as easy. The only thing I didn’t like about super Mario was how I have WAY to much coins and tickets than I can spend. It just didn’t feel like I was earning it all. But Dr. Mario world is AWESOME, my favorite thing is the music and graphics. I have a classic N.E.S so I play Dr. mario every now and then, and it’s one of my favorite games on the Nintendo, so when I heard there was Dr. mario coming on the App Store I had to get it! All though I then thought it might be disappointing like Super Mario. But it’s not. I love how the music is like the classic music, only better; more modern. And back to coins thing. I never get more coins( or other types of currency) than I need, which doesn’t seem like a big deal but it’s such a relief after playing Super Mario. Great game! It won’t disappoint! Also one more thing, it’s the PERFECT difficulty! Great if you like puzzles!

    Great game, needs bugs fixed

I love the concept of the game, it presents a good challenge and different ways to approach things. It’s a unique game and addicting. However, the game freezes, crashes, or glitches far too often. On numerous occasions, I’ve beat a more difficult level only to have my screen frozen on the clearer screen. The only way to remedy the issue is to close out the app, which results in me having to complete the level again. It’s very frustrating. As others have said, my game crashes occasionally which also ends the present game. This creates another issue of lives, it’s frustrating to complete levels (which takes a life) only to have the game mess up and you have to use another life on a level you already completed. If these issues were fixed, I’d be playing this game all the time! Edit: it would be great if developers could arrange it to where the character skills actually help out. For instance, if I only have two viruses left and I’m using Bowser, my power up should actually hit those two viruses and not two rows that have nothing in them.... or when you’re down to one, the capsule should change to match that color to help out. It seems like you did it this way to make money. (This is more of a personal complaint, I am honestly more concerned about the bugs being fixed.)

Great game but can be improved. Plus waiting on more levels!

I loved Dr Mario so I couldn't wait to get this game. The versus is more like the game I use to play but the stages are fun too. A few of the stages seem impossible. I had to use the diamonds I was gifted at least 3 times to pass levels, if I want gifted them I would have never bought them and most likely still be stuck. I played everyday and one level took me 4 days to pass! However now I reached the end of all the levels the have and are forced to play the other stages over ( to get better stars) or just versus. At least the versus doesn't use stars but I shouldn't have to use a life on a stage I already passed especially if I pass it again. I can see if I failed or had done worse. They also have "bonus" speed stages you can complete 3 and get a prize. I completed all 3 of the first one and it wasn't that great of a prize. I completed maybe one of the 3 on the other bonus stages throughout. I suggest if you don't finish the stage each time they add maybe 2/3 seconds on until you can complete it. I've played other games that do that and it helps. Otherwise some a impossible unless you use multiple helpers. I really hope they put more stages out otherwise I'll move on to something else. Plus it uses so much battery even on WiFi!!

Great game, even for a micro transactions game. Just a bit unstable!

Loads of fun, and really not too bad in terms of pushing for micro transactions. Sure, you still have to wait for lives occasionally, but there’s still a few things you can do while you wait, such as play versus mode or (if you have enough) spend your coins on staffing. My biggest and really only complaint about this game, so far at least, is that it seems to be very crash-prone. In just the past 15 minutes of trying to play versus mode for the first time, it’s crashed 3 times, once during the tutorial, once after matchmaking (I lost by default and was penalized trophies for it), and once after a game. Kind of takes the fun out of versus mode if I’m going to be unable to advance due to technicalities (losing half of the time to crashes and half of the time because I didn’t play as well as my apartment). Needless to say, it’s a bit disappointing and I really hope they can fix it! And naturally, if they do, I’ll change this rating to five stars :-) (If I had to guess, I would say the game might be running out of memory? My tablet, an iPad Air, It’s a few years old as well, so it might be a more general deficiency in system resources. I really can’t say for sure without seeing the application‘s log, though)

    Paging Dr. Mario!

Dr. Mario, despite it’s more than 20-year history, hasn’t changed much. Dr. Mario World has added more to do and play with than any entry I’ve ever played, but at the same time it lacks some of the satisfying release-of-tension that the older games had. While the traditional Dr. Mario gameplay has more in common with Tetris—where vitamins fall at increasing speeds and it’s up to the player to place them carefully—in World, you drop individual capsules whenever you like. It effectively shifts the challenge from a time-based one to more of a focused puzzler where you have time to think and plan ahead. It works pretty well while still feeling familiar, but it’s strayed far from its falling-block roots. That game takes its sweet time ramping up the difficulty, but by the time it gets into the swing of things, I found it to be pretty fun if a bit slow. And it’s forgiving as far as IAPs go. The energy meter is generous and I haven’t seen any use for diamonds yet, which you pay real money for. Online Versus mode is a treasure, and requires no energy to play, so I expect that after a while that’s where I’ll spend most of my time.

    Character Skills and Leveling Up

As I said in a previous review, this game is addicting and fun to play when I’m able to breeze through levels. Even despite the numerous bugs, I’m somewhat able to enjoy it. However, the whole premise of leveling up a character’s skill is really stupid to me. You mean to tell me I can ONLY level up my doctor if I’m lucky enough to get them from the randomized draw on multiple occasions? Not to mention tickets are rare and earning 4000 coins takes a while, especially since you can only earn max 150 coins per regular level. I feel like the doctors should have an HP meter. I’ve been using Luigi for more than 100 levels and I find it stupid that i haven’t been able to level him up since the only way I can is by getting him via coins or a ticket (and I’ve used several tickets and spent lots of coins in that 100 level timespan, but never got him a second time). It would make the skill thing more convenient and honestly better. And besides the randomization of doctors/assistants is dumb anyway, and what’s the point of the roulette even spinning if the icon will always land on the question mark?? There’s so many things that could be improved to better this game...but this is only version 1.0.5....so I’ll try my best to be patient and wait for better future updates.

    Fun game

Nintendo, you guys always make fun games, and I get that this was free (and I’d totally be willing to drop 10 bucks for the game) and I’m super happy about that, but collecting diamonds is way to hard, and buying diamonds is way to expensive. You can’t collect items unless you get really lucky, or have actual money to burn through, and coin collection is tough but can be fun. So if it’s possible maybe making it so it’s easier to collect coins, and to collect power ups. I’d be willing to “pay” for the game if you’d do that. Also it’s a nice touch having the life bar, but there are to little lives so they run out very quick. Now on the other hand, the game is very well put together. It is one of my favorite puzzle games at the moment top 5 at least. The music is fun (could be more variety) and the levels are very fun and sometimes super challenging. As for versus mode it’s actually a blast and very fast paced. Maybe touch up on a couple things, and add a few things to it to make it more fun, but either way I really enjoy the game, and if any actually reads this and is curious about getting it, don’t let the cons deceive you, download the game and start destroying those viruses because this game is a blast!

    Some parts ok, some not.

Ok I like the game overall and the game play. I even like the changes from original in that sense too. But I have a couple of issues. One, and I have noticed a lot having these issues; there is a major issue with loading errors and things during the middle of levels and it often takes away resources when you swipe out and come back to it, which is truly ridiculous. I mean it is a brand new game. Also, I do not like that I am stuck with my doctor. I feel like if it gives you 3 choices at the beginning, you should be able to switch between those 3. It is unfair, that you are stuck with your choice especially since maybe you didn’t understand at first and since the skills build so slowly. And to my understanding that’s the only way to get more I think? Hopefully y’all can get bugs worked out soon, otherwise I might not keep playing. But for now I will be patient. Originally gave y’all 3 stars now dropping to two. Glad you fixed bugs, seems to be all right so far, but I now have a new issue. I leveled up my doctor to the second tier and I can’t get that tier unless I purchase it! That is ridiculous! Sad thing is I don’t mind in app purchases, but not if it is something I or any other player has rightly earned as an achievement-I am not made of money! And as I said I refuse to purchase sometimes rightfully earned! Still being patient because I love Mario, but if my patience drop much more, I will probably drop the game as well.

    Glitches too much

**Editing my review to drop it down to 2 stars after it glitched on me 4 different times today causing me to lose the lives, progress on the level, and the booster I had used. I’m very close to deleting this app. Also, when you open it now it spams you with all these notifications and things you can buy. You are supposed to get a daily bonus for logging in, which randomly happens...you never get it daily. This isn’t your Dr Mario from before, so if you wanted the old version don’t bother with this one. If you wanted one that has a mix of Super Mario World with some added challenges, then you may like this version. I haven’t decided if I like it because of the constant glitches in the game. For example, I just opened it to play & clicked to start & it froze and timed out so I lost a life. That isn’t fair. The game can’t recover from any issue it has and you’ll lose your progress on that level (it’s happened way too much) and you lose the life. I also don’t like that I’m collecting all these coins but can’t trade them for things I can use in the levels or for more lives. It wants me to spend money. Why? What’s the point of the coins? I’m gonna end up deleting if these issues aren’t fixed.

    Versus game is rigged

I used to enjoy playing the versus games against other characters, having my fair share of wins and losses. Until the point where I began having piles and piles of viruses thrown at me constantly and I would lose my tier and my ranking score, not to mention uncoordinated capsules that seem to glitch from where I was supposed to put it. At one point I was on the verge of going way down to tier 3 from 5 and SOMEHOW matched me up with someone who came from tier 6 while I was shot down to tier 4 because of my previous opponents, and shot me down even further. There was no way I was lost 9 times in a row, only until I realized the game has glitching the capsules and putting me with an unfair match. I could just forget about the versus mode and go to the stage… oh WAIT, no… I can’t… because trying to find the HiDdEn CoIns are nearly impossible and paying 10 diamonds won’t help! I once cleared the ENTIRE STAGE of viruses and capsules and none of the coins showed up and I lost. Idk the coins MUST be in my own house right? Smh. Waste of a heart and 10 diamonds that I will never pay to get more of because they’ll all just go to waste. The glitches seem to happen more often the matches are becoming unfair which may resolve me deleting the game.

    Needs lots of work

I never write reviews! I like this game/concept but it’s completely lame compared to other games and the prizes rewarded are cheap at best. And now I’ve finished all the worlds so I’m going back to try and get 3 stars and I can’t hardly earn any coins replaying levels? Like really? Lame. So basically I can’t make any decent amount of coins until YOU make More levels. Also, when you pass a entire world, it would be nice to get some sort of reward like full hearts or something. Check out the game SEGA hero’s. I’ve been playing that forever because it’s worth the time and effort. Your game so far is not worth the time although it’s fun and addicting, the rewards and payoff aren’t even close to worth it compared to different games. If I’m spending money on your game, I expect for you guys to put out some decent rewards too. Such a stingy game for rewards and very disappointing. I’ve spent $ on this game and now I’m done cuz I can’t get a decent amount of coins by going back and replaying levels. The optional special timed levels are too difficult also. The game is also super glitchy. I’m mad I wasted time playing this game because I really like it but unless they make the reward system better and more fair, I’m done.
