    Love it!

I’m glad I stuck it out with all the crashing at the start. Occasional crash but I tend to play for a while. It’s definitely a slow progression through the game, but playing everyday and replaying the missions is key. Could use some improvements. Maybe a way to send a single assassins out on scouting missions to be able to bring in more copper and iron. Would also be a good chance for assassins to earn some extra exp for leveling up. Seems a waste to see assassins just wondering around. 5 replays on loot missions is great but when you have more than 5 assassins it gets challenging to bring in enough materials. Would also be nice if we would get either exp for each character when we play missions or maybe a DNA point. I love getting the rare characters like Kassandra but since I’m unable to rank her up due to NO missions dropping her DNA, it’s pointless to continue to level her up. The game gets a lot harder so the rare characters give you an extra little boost. Keeping us from making them better puts a real downer on the whole game.

Still love this game after almost an entire year!

I love collecting every new assassin that come out. Missions are fun when you can use each character’s unique skills but there is just one problem. I’ve ranked up a lot of heroes but I’m almost always using the same ones. The event bonuses for certain heroes make events more fun but a lot of heroes I have don’t get the love they deserve, especially some who have awesome skills that I never get to use because I just never realized they had it. It would be cool if we could filter search for heroes by specific skills like the one in the search criteria in the mobile game Yu-gi-oh Duel links. I also have a bunch of empty rooms waiting to be filled with something, maybe a training room where we can teach new skills to heroes somehow. They could be new skills or maybe skills that are specific to certain heroes. Or a room for a workshop where we can buy or craft equipment or temporary skills that we can use in missions. The game could also use some more support, heal, and disarm specialists that are legendary or epic.

I want to love this game

This game has very good features! The strategy needed to over come each rooms challenges is very fulfilling. Building your team and getting better members and abilities is great. Even having to farm for better hero’s is not as tedious as some games. It’s biggest problem is the fact that I cannot play more of it. The “Intel” or credits needed to play missions accrue so slowly that that after 20 or 30 mins of play you are stuck playing another game. The developers have balanced game play so that pay to win players are not so strong it is not fun for players who have a smaller budget, which is refreshing. However there is just not enough activities to keep a player engaged. I would like to spend more money on it, but I am not going to dump money into a game I can only play 30 mins a day. Either intel credits need to generate faster or other side activities are needed to keep a player engaged. Games are supposed to distract me from dead time not create more. All the building blocks of a great game are here, it just needs more of it.

    Enjoyable and fun

I love the way the game does simple things. Most games when you want to build or upgrade a room or unlock something takes time for it to build. You've already spend the time gathering resources and then you have to wait more for building. But not in this one and I think for that fact alone this game is worth five stars. But it has so much more to offer. The unique puzzles and paths you can take on a map is unlike any other game I've played on the phone. And yeah this is a very enjoyable phone game! You can play it for ten minutes when you have time or sit down and play it for an hour. You'll have the resources to do that and they're pretty easy to come by even when you aren't paying for the subscription. Yes this game has some in app purchases but you don't need them. And there's no online so you don't have to be worried that your going to be squashed by someone who's payed to win. Overall this game is fun fresh and ready for anyone

    Love This Game...Buuuttt

I have been playing this game for quite a while now. Irritating family & friends by hurrying up to get online for the special “hour” of low costs for various items along with trying to catch the free cube. It very fun; challenging. The design is really good! Of course, it is designed to cause you to purchase those items they have for sake that’ll give you an edge. But, for most people, spending that on a game won’t work. Regardless, that’s a given with iOS game apps. What I’m really upset about lately is that it CONTINUES to crash now. It never did before. So I’m frustrated when I’m doing really well on a higher level, allmmoosstt done with the last room when FREEZE & CRASH! Ugh!!!! I’m still playing because I love the game; but what the HECK?!? Is there a solution? My phone is not the most current but it isn’t old either. When the game plays without issues for months & then suddenly begins to randomly crash, it is strange, no?

Good game, but huge room for improvement

The game is good, fantastic even for some. Let me just say, it might seem like I’m bashing it for being bad. But I’m not. The game starts of fine with showing you how play with it’s simplistic controls that invoke probability. ( I did notice that it seems predetermined) And after that you’re on your own for the most part. Missions are simple and have different approaches for characters and vary from info extract, to loot runs and simple assassin’s creed assassination. The characters are somewhat of a grind, but that that hard. There is a loot crate system for characters. But it’s already easy enough to get characters...so yeah. Not gonna talk about the story to not spoil it. But now let’s talk about its faults. The store is to be expected nowadays with loot crates, but it’s not game breaking. Sometimes the games in game timer glitches out and doesn’t appear, so I’m just confused when “Mission requirements not met” appear and I’m over leveled then I realize the timer isn’t there to tell me that I used up all my mission replays for that specific mission. And now to the last one, probably the elephant in this room. EXP, is a pain to get, daily’s are the only guaranteed way to get tons of it. Missions only give 100, and story missions give you 650 once. That’s the only thing in truly annoyed about, the leveling grind. That’s all I can say about the game for now, until after a few major updates.

    I love this! 👏🏻

This game is so addicting and has a lot to offer. I really love the way you choose your path and assassins to get through each level, however There are a few things I would change. Like the leveling system for example, I like that you have to train your assassins and getting codexes is easy but I feel that the game gets so hard that you have almost no chance of beating it if you are a few levels short. I like that you have to replay old mission’s to get stronger but it would be nice if you didn’t have to replay levels a lot to get the experience. The DNA is also an issue in my book. Again, I like having to get DNA to rank your assassins up but getting the right DNA for a specific assassin is a long shot...maybe there could be some sort of way to choose an assassin category? Like maybe you could choose healer or stealth category and that would only let you get DNA for those types? And my last problem with this game is the story. I like the story and all the assassins backstories are amazing and add depth to the game but sometimes it just feels like I’m fighting for no reason. Maybe if the story wrapped the assassins into it a little more I wouldn’t feel that way? That’s everything I wanted to say. Thanks for reading this and have an amazing day!”

Great little game with a bit of wiggle room

I downloaded this game and loved it from the start! I really like games that are balanced so the need for in-app-purchases isn’t really necessary. I’m proud to say that this game fits that bill! Even when you run out of intel to play missions, there are always little things you can do to tweak your Brotherhood (crafting, training, etc.) Intel comes quick. I like that I can pick it up and play a mission or two for a few minutes, put it down and not worry that I’m going to be missing anything when I come back to it later. I love the art style and direction! It really plays to the strengths of how visceral some of the enemy encounters can be without being over-graphic. One thing I did have trouble with was the transition between region 1 and region 2. I got so caught up in the story that my characters were under-leveled and under-geared for Region 2 by a long shot. Although I enjoy that the game doesn’t always hold your hand when it comes to playing, my progression through the missions grinder to an absolute halt in Region 2. Although, it forced me to take my time and farm the DNA fragments and take part in the events which I really now enjoy doing. Overall, I really like this game and give it a 4.5/5!

Super fun, but a bit limited

First off, I would like to start by saying that the gameplay is awesome. I’ve had a ton of fun playing this whether I only had a few minutes or close to an hour. The gameplay is immersive, the story is interesting, and the characters are super fun to watch as they grow and level up. My only problem with the game right now is the in game currency called intel. In order to gin on any of the missions, you must spend intel. It does replenish over time, but it does so at an EXTREMELY slow rate. It takes 8 hours to generate around 50 intel, while each mission requires at least 5 intel to attempt. This means that one can only play the game for at most about 30 minutes every eight hours, and really that number is much smaller considering that the higher level missions can cost around 11 intel to attempt instead of five. Games with similar systems such as contest of champions are far more reasonable with the regeneration of energy, the equivalent of intel in that game, and if they are able to balance this problem, then I would change my rating to five stars in a heartbeat.

Enjoying game, but energy regeneration TOO SLOW.

I am enjoying the game. It is similar to other games I have played where you collect heroes and grind to improve their rank, level, and equipment. I am okay with the grind. If I had one complaint, it would be that the energy regeneration rate is WAY TOO SLOW. Waiting for the energy refresh is painfully slow and the payout is that only a few missions can be run on the limited amount of energy throughout the day. The benefit does not outweigh the cost of the wait which I fear will lead me to get bored and give up the game. MY RECOMMENDATION would be for the refresh rate of energy to be twice the rate of what it is currently or AT THE VERY LEAST have the energy bar reset to full strength at midnight every night. UPDATE: As another person mentioned, I had an issue yesterday where I completed all of the daily tasks an no more were listed, however the award for completing all of the daily tasks said that only 9/10 tasks were completed and the system would not award me the final award for completing all of the tasks.

Xcom but with a LONG Wait

The game play and aspects surrounding it feel new and fresh. The strategy and what I would call gambling with percentages is fairly enjoyable. You clench a bit on percentages that are close. I like the fact that how the game play works, it makes you use different characters. The gotcha portion of the game does not feel too bad. You can grind for pieces of characters and the starting guys don’t feel awful, in part due to my previous comment. The building portion of the game feels a bit unnecessary, but it is a choice and I don’t hate it. The buildings do not have build times, which is good and the training timers/ research timers are not terrible. Where the game falls flat for me is the energy timers. I’m sitting at level 10 with 2 guys in my intel building and I get 55 energy per 7.5 hours. When level cost 11 energy that means 5 levels every 7.5 hours. So about 15-30 minutes of game play in the span. That’s a joke and what makes it more of a joke is the real world currency to buy the energy is roughly $1.50 for 50 energy. Honestly I wish I had realized this before I spent real money on this game. Overall the game portion of it is 4-5 stars, but the waiting portion is a 1 star so I averaged it to 3. Fix the BS with energy and it would be 5. Until then maybe save your cash.

    Too slow

Game is fun because its a puzzle game. Few problems though. It takes too long to aquire enough intel to last a day and missions cant be replayed than a certain amount and take about half to a full day to replay. Another problem is that, in order to succeed or play certain missions, you must meet requirements of the mission, but in order to meet a requirement like a tank at 480 power, you have to promote your tank to get there but the mission to get more DNA can only be played lets say 3 times in a day before the mission is “depleted”. Then you’re pretty much bored until its not depleted. Even if there was no depletion of missions, in some cases you’re not depleted but you have no intel, it takes close to half a day to collect a third of your max intel storage. Way too slow and believe me, i’ll forget this game is fun because of the fact that wait in between is too long and the play time after the long wait is too short. I literally only play this game when i wake up cuz i let the game do its thing during sleep and at night after i let the game do its thing after work. If i have a day off, this game will be boring

    Good but needs some changes

Firstly this is a good start for this game. Interesting missions to play that requires you to think everything through before acting. However progression is really slow. The level gating on equipment is tied to your level which is slow grind mainly do to the lack of xp sources. The main quests can stall out really fast because you need a high power level but to get a higher power level you need better equipment. Its a strange loop that takes way to long. They other major issue is that it takes 24 hours to recharge event specific energy with the only other way to get more is to spend premium currency. I do appreciate that it is separate from the main energy resource but when you can only play the event once or maybe twice a day due to slow recharge rates its kind of annoying. The annual pass also lacks value. The speed up is a cool idea but it think it should also include helix credits or dna maybe on a daily basis. A 20% speed up really doesn't hold a $8.99 value in my eyes. Really interested to see what path this game takes over the upcoming months.

    Requires a perfect internet connection

The game is decently fun when it works, though it’s mostly just a wait-and-collect game with a turn-based mini game. If you only have access to IPv6, like the WiFi I temporarily have, it will not work at all. My mobile connection that supports IPv4 is also spotty right now, but I’m still able to win low ranked rounds in brawl stars and write this review, so that shouldn’t impact my ability to play a game like Rebellion that never has two players connected directly. Unfortunately, the game has difficulty if the connection has even a momentary issue and barely tries to reconnect, even when you tap the retry button the game offers. I have previously submitted tickets for this when on better connections and a hiccup ate my limited event tokens before I could even start the level. Unfortunately, their support takes a few days to get back to you, by which time the event will be over and then they need screenshots because they either don’t associate the in-app ticket with your device or don’t have the logging and tools to notice when they dropped your functional connection. Very frustrating when you just want to play and then do something else. Don’t make this game a part of your routine.
