    Great game

Love the game it is fantastic! Tons of categories and questions. Rarely do you see a duplicate question. Lifelines make the game fun because most of us are not human encyclopedias. They can get a little carried away with the shoving challenges down your throat and the constant showing your standing is unnecessary. I wish I could shut off the people challenging me and my standings. I don’t care about either of those but I have to click through them each time I log in. They love to try and force you to sign on with Facebook. I refuse to do it but lately every. Single. Time. I log in I have to hit cancel because it is trying to force me to sign in with Facebook, starting to really frustrate me, if I haven’t done it by now I am not interested in doing it! Sadly I really like the game BUT if one of these days I accidentally hit confirm instead of cancel on the force Facebook login I will immediately delete the app and not down load it again. That’s why I am giving 3 stars, don’t try and force stuff on me if I have clearly said no. I send money on the game, so I get to choose what I do on it. Honestly I considered the monthly subscription till they started that force Facebook sign in. For the developers seriously guys stop with the repeated request, let us click yes or no once.

Addictive & fun, also infuriating 😬

Jeopardy World Tour is first of all incredibly addictive, a fun game with new challenges each week if you want that cute new stamp, frame or background. I stayed up Way too late playing to get the Spring flowers ensemble ! Meeting your daily bank challenge of 100 gold bars will buy you extra spins on the Daily Play wheel, and if you meet the challenge all week you get an additional 500 bars. I would never , ever in a million years spend Real Money in this game. If you have a general knowledge of trivia & keep to your go-to categories you can win & level up. That Said : eventually you will level up to a City that your gem bank won’t cover & you will have to make up those missing gems in your Achilles heel area. Wish I knew more about history & geography for sure. Not the worst part of this game however. The real reason I give it 3 stars instead of 5, is that you can run All your categories, a correct answer every time on the highest levels, then bet the whole thing in Final Jeopardy , get it right and Still Lose, to a Bot , that “got” a daily double . It’s total bs, & unfair. I will keep playing tho because I want that Mothers Day ensemble. But I will be fuming inside.

    Feels like a casino

It’s fun and I weirdly feel like I’m learning a lot but with all the constant shiny adds trying to get you to spend just a little bit more, you’re constantly reminded their primary goal is to make money off the app. Don’t get me wrong; that’s their prerogative and the game IS fun. It’s definitely doable to play and not spend much but as you progress the stakes go up, so do the points required to win-that means using modifiers(which cost gold bars- not easily accumulated without spending actual money). You pretty much can’t win without modifiers past a certain point. 🤷🏼‍♀️ If you go into it with the goal of having fun and learning rather than winning, you’re better off- but it will be slow going as the only way to win money to play with is to come in first and the only way to do that without modifiers is to play with relatively low betting amounts that won’t win you as much. My only other complaint is that you can’t add a profile picture without a social media account. I realize I’m probably in the minority here, but I got rid of Facebook in so much as you can get rid of Facebook years ago but I’d still like to be able to add a profile picture to my jeopardy account.

    Game could be great, but....

I'm a big trivia nerd and watch Jeopardy every single day, so I thought this game would be great. It has potential, but falls short of what it could be. For one, I wish it played more like the real game and instead of points converting into money, you simply played for money. It's hard to know what your points convert to in dollars. And it's absolutely absurd that you can win the entire game and not even break even with how much you paid to play. I understand that the more points you have, the more money you get, but there shouldn't be a situation where you win and don't cover your cost of playing, that's just dumb and clearly trying to get you to have to pay in order to keep playing. I've also only been playing for a couple of weeks now (Level 12) but am already getting a lot of repeat questions. Clearly too, you aren't playing against real people but rather the computer as it never works out that "they" don't make it to the final Jeopardy round - they always manage to eek out some points at the end, even getting more than one double jeopardy in a round when I've always only gotten one at most. The game is just ok. The developers could make some improvements to make so much better and not have players feel like they're just trying to make us pay for being able to play. I'd rather pay a set fee to "buy" the game then have it nickel and dime me along the way.

it’s my first playing in online game and I watched Jeopardy understand every night on TV I love Jeopardy! however this game is so hard to understand there’s not enough directions on how to play it I have no clue about the points in dollars and know when you’re playing against somebody you’re not and yeah I have never played any game online but I’ll tell you this one just makes no sense to me I just enjoy being able to answer questions correctly makes me feel smart feels good if ever I can raise my status but I have no idea how to win more or raise my points more just isn’t clear there’s not enough direction. And capital letters don’t biggest thing I noticed is on final Jeopardy there’s absolutely no time to both read the question and think about it and answer compared to the TV program the amount of time you have to answer is half and I feel like that’s completely unrealistic and unfair to the player I’ve enjoyed playing but I don’t know how much longer will it needs to be set up differently needs to be a lot more user-friendly and I was shocked to know that you were asked actually asking for more money in order to play more I didn’t realize games operated that way otherwise it’s fun to have jeopardy and playing sometimes I just wish I knew more about how to play itIt definitely is not explained well at all from start to finish how to play thank you

    Completely rigged!!

This is super fun when you first start… I won seven in a row then 10 in a row, and was sucked into buying extra gold bars in cash because then you are trying to just keep your status As you climb the ladder to different cities, yet they cost a hell of a lot more for work basically zero progress unless you put money into it!! That’s how you’re able to play only if you have enough money. My biggest issue and problem; However, the game is completely rigged as far as the questions you answer... I know this for a fact because I purposely did not answer any Shakespeare questions so every single time I started to play the game Shakespeare questions appeared. After you have put in money all of a sudden you get categories that the game realizes you are not adept to answer as proficiently as you are others so, consequently you’re fighting a losing battle because it particularly picks the Categories, and sets you up for failure knowing that you were not well suited for the (certain categories you’re not proficient) those are the only categories it gives you! That becomes extremely frustrating! Don’t waste your money, and just play for fun… Do not buy anything it’s just a set up and you will then find yourself with categories consistently that you are Not well-versed in, and then becomes frustrating to no end!!

    Has some issues

I really thought I was going to love this game. I love Jeapordy and I love trivia games and this had potential to be great but it has too many issues to be a good, playable game. I can deal with the fact that a lot of the categories and clues are things that no one would ever know..that’s not even the problem. The problem is the money part of the game. You have to pay to play every game, and when you win, you don’t even win your money back for paying into the game. In fact, you don’t even win the full amount of what you earn. And you only get money if you are the winner, so lose a couple of rounds and your pretty much done. For example, I just came on to play and I had 7.8 thousand dollars. I played two rounds costing me 5,000 a piece. I won both rounds. Each round I won around 5,000. And yet, after the second win, I only had 4.8 thousand in my bank. It doesn’t make any sense at all. After two wins I literally didn’t even have enough money to play a third round, and I would have at least had that if they gave me all my earnings, but after winning 5,000, they only added 3.2 to my bank. I get that they want you to spend money by buying more money, but that’s kind of ridiculous and unfair. Probably won’t continue playing this game because of it.

Not designed to keep you playing

UPDATED REVIEW: I like this game even less after receiving a response from the Developer about my review below. This was the response about my comment that you pay more to play than you win back: “Your in-game winnings are based on your score - aim for around ~5-6,000 points during a game in order to "break even" in most rooms! The higher the room, the easier it is to walk away with winnings equal to or greater than your entry fee.” That just poor game design in my book. If I win the game, I shouldn’t lose money. I’m deleting this game from my phone and playing something that’s designed to keep me engaged. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I like the questions and the pace... but there’s WAY too much happening in the pre-game screens. I think it’s all designed to make you buy stuff, but it’s over stimulating and confusing. And you pay more to play than you win back, so I often don’t have enough to play again. Which means I don’t play this game as often as I would want. The developers should take their money from advertisers instead of players. I don’t mind that I’m not playing real people, but I think the computer-players should be more like real players and not always make it to final jeopardy.

Don’t give any money to this game, it’s just a scam.

I enjoy the challenging questions and gameplay of this game more than any other mobile trivia game I’ve tried. However, it’s virtually impossible to advance or even do well in this game without spending actual money because it is too difficult to raise enough in-game money to actually play more than once a day. Only rarely do you win more money in a game than you pay to play it. I could win 10 games in a row (which would already be very hard to do), and even then I would have less money than when I started, because if you pay $5000 to pay you will likely only “win” ~$4500. So now I have to raise $80,000 to play a single game on the level that I’ve reached, but if I don’t win I probably won’t be able to play that level again for several days because I have to wait for my bank to fill back up. So disheartening to lose the whole bank that you’ve saved up for days in a matter of 3 minutes. This game is set up for everyone to lose constantly, in one way or another. I know Jeopardy is based on wagering, so there should always be an element of risk, but this feels almost predatory when I just want to play trivia for fun. Changed my review from 2 stars to 1 when I read more reviews and realized that everyone already agrees with me. This developer is downright dirty for not changing something that so many people have complained about for YEARS.

Very Upset after $20 gold bar purchase changed my app!!

Cannot seem to find a way to contact customer service or I wouldn’t be writing a bad review and instead would’ve given Sony a chance to fix my issue. Unfortunately, this is the only way for me to hopefully get attention and my account working again. Developers, Please Please Please contact me. After purchasing Gold bars I now have no way to earn gold bars or cash. This is upsetting as the game progresses it requires more of both just to play a game. Forget completing daily goals, I’m lucky if I get to play a game a day. Please, someone help. I’d love to change my review to 5 stars. Again, apologies for my method of contact in attempts to change this. I hope we can resolve this issue in a fair and timely manner. I would have never spent that much actual money had I known certain features would’ve been taken away. I feel there should be a warning about that. Is there really even a way to play this game without spending money on it?? It’s rigged a little unfairly in my opinion. But I’m not deleting it until I give you all a chance to make it right. The way Customer Service handles this will have the power to change my whole experience. Hoping for a better experience... Also, there was an error in the beginning where it merged my 2 accounts?? That was weird. Just remembered that as I was writing this. Thanks in advance.

    I don’t understand

I’ve won a good amount of times, and sometimes I win by a lot. But I’ve never gotten any more than 3k when I win. Which is ridiculous considering I’m spending 5k-10k to play a round. How does that make any sense and how does this game have good reviews? Supposedly you can win up to 40k on one and 80k on the second one I unlocked. But i can’t even make enough back to play another round when I do win. What a waste of time. And I’m assuming it’s possible I’m not making very much because even though I’ve won I have a “low amount of points still” but I should atleast have enough to play again. Seems like you win and get no reward. I’m also not the only one with this problem, my boyfriend mentioned it as well and we enjoyed playing against each other but at the end of the day it’s not worth it and there’s tons of other games that we can play against each other and actually play the actual game as well. Obviously the game isn’t terrible, and it probably doesn’t deserve only one star, I enjoyed it while it lasted, but I don’t see why I would keep this downloaded if I can’t even play most of the time even when I'm winning. Hopefully they’ll get a better payout system for people who do win, whether they have a lot of points or not. Because I don’t want to wait around forever to get free cash just to win and not be able to play again until I can get more free cash.

    Disappointing algorithm

This game has so much potential and I started playing it to keep my mind sharp. But it is clear you aren’t playing with “real” people- you can zero out but no one you are “paired with” ever does, as they would in real life. Their algorithm is frustrating because sometimes the game seems relatively easy or a good blend of easy and challenging and other times it is ridiculously hard for dozens of games in a row with no let up. There are occasionally duplicate clues which I don’t mind as I feel like I am learning something. But the game feels engineered to make you purchase extra cash to play. I would rather pay for the game outright as I know the developer needs to make money. But I can’t stand games that try to force you to complete in app purchases just to continue playing. As mentioned in other reviews it is incredibly lame that you can sometimes earn less with a win than you “paid” to play that round. And lower cheaper rounds are no easier than more expensive ones, again leaving you with no choice but to log in every four hours to accrue funds to play or pay for them (which I won’t do). Different levels become increasingly expensive to play but the bank takes forever to dole out the next level of “cash” again requiring you to log in without playing for days to accrue enough to play.

    Rigged, greedy, monotonous

Even if you get every question right and both daily doubles, and double all your money with a correct final Jeopardy answer, you can (and most often will) lose. The game is rigged against you so that not only will you have to pay to win, but you will eventually have to pay just to play. When you first start playing, you are given lots of double point bonuses - which are almost always necessary for winning the game, especially as you progress. As you play more, however, you hardly ever find double-point bonuses and subsequently it becomes impossible to beat the other "players" which are really just computer bots. And here's where the greed of the developers shines through: playing requires in-game "cash", and you only get cash by winning games. Want to win? You need to use gold bars to get double-point bonuses. How do you get gold bars? Using real money. As you progress, the computer bots you're playing against will almost never get a wrong answer. And they will ALWAYS get the daily double later in the game, whereas you will almost always get the daily double on the first or second question. And they will ALWAYS have double-point bonus as well. Essentially, you have to pay to play this "free" game. If the developers were just less openly greedy it could actually be enjoyable for more than five minutes.

This Developer Knows How to Frustrate Users and Drive Them Away

I have allowed myself to be strung along by this unusually cumbersome platform under the hope that I could eventually get to the level where my cash award would increase from $3.9M every three hours to $7.68M every three hours. I have faithfully answered the trivia questions and collected meager gems over the past months (dare I say nearly a year) and was so close to completing my two weakest categories (it takes a loooooooooong time to earn gems in this game). I had been planning to quit the game when I doubled my coin bank because I can only guess what insurmountable challenge awaited a mere mortal beyond that point. The developer forced me out early. Their latest update allows me to earn $765,000 every 15 hours. So I went from $3,900,000 every three hours to $765,000 every 15 hours. That’s right! This is not a typographical error. They randomly made a hugely regressive app update. That is what I have come to expect from this app. It is almost like they play drinking games to brainstorm for update ideas (good, bad, inane or otherwise). It really is the silliest, most random app governance I have ever seen. In fact, this is the first app that I have ever taken time to review (it is that awful). Uken/Jeopardy!, I won’t be around to see the next wacky update you concoct! Bye bye!
