    Satisfying and fun

Overall I enjoy the game, even if, like real fishing, it can get frustrating at times. The new saltwater addition is great, though as a former resident of the Florida Keys, I would’ve liked to have seen more iconic Keys species like the mahi-mahi and tarpon rather than the redfish and snook, which aren’t as common in that part of Florida. Overall, though, a great way to pass the time. I look forward to future enhancements and new fish. Edit: I’ve read some reviews that knock stars off the game for forcing you to pay to advance, or making advancement too difficult. Playing over a relatively short period of time (about 6 months), I’ve reached level 54, caught all 27 species of fish, including 5 legendary fish, and opened every lake on the board, though I’m still working up to getting the rod I need to successfully fish Lake Okeechobee. There’s no real secret ... work on catching and keeping monster fish (they build up gold) and focus on the reward challenges. I don’t even bother with the tournaments, and haven’t spent any actual money.

    Best Fishing Game On Mobile!

This game is great! First of all, it’s free; which is always a good thing. This game reminds me of a playstation 1 or early playstation 2 fishing game; you have different lures to choose from, you can upgrade you rod and reels, different lakes and locations, and a different variety of fish you can catch in each lake. When you cast out, the game changes to underwater camera mode which is a necessity in any good fishing game. The multiplayer tournaments are pretty sweet as you have different goals to accomplish on each one. Some tournaments are won by heaviest catch, some by longest catch, some by quantity. This game has so much to offer for a mobile fishing game. It was made very well. Don’t waste your time on fishing clash. A chimpanzee could play that game. If you want a good fishing game with depth and detail to the gameplay, play this Rapala baby!

    Best free app game

I’ve been playing for 3 days and I love it so far. Fairly easy to level up. Making money isn’t hard. Locations and new fish come exactly when the old spot is getting a bit boring. Yet the old spots are cool to revisit. Yes, there are ads but still better than constant pressure to spend real money. So far at level 13 I have not spent a dime. If i hit a dead end in the future I’ll be more than happy to spend a bit for the entertainment I’ve already experienced. That’s kind of like real fishing. This is not a simulator like Fishing Planet. More of a dumbed down arcade app game with great graphics and solid mechanics that will entertain people who actually fish. I downloaded this to pass time while traveling but I haven’t put it down since getting home.

Best fishing game ever (don’t listen to the bad reviews!)

This is literally the best fishing game ever. I spent hours looking for a decent fishing for free, and this is absolutely worth it. It also doesn’t require internet, so you can turn it off to avoid adds. I don’t know why people say it takes too long to advance! About two hours of gameplay (for a normal person 2-4 days) you can level up very quickly. Once you figure out how to catch legendary, not only do you level up fast, you get rich in gold and coins. This isn’t a pay to win game, like many people say. I’ve shown many of my friends this game, and we are all addicted right now😂 Definitely a must have!

    Awesome Fishing Game!!

I love real fishing but this is even better, no fish to clean and just as much fun. The tournament are great although you need to earn gold bars and upgrade your rod and reel to catch fish quickly. The fish are so realistic that at first I was afraid to catch a big catfish! I would recommend this game to anyone, especially people with the patience of a fisherman since it takes a while to work your way up. The lakes are real and the graphics really represent the various fishing spots. I especially love fishing in thunderstorms. In fact I think I’ll go fishing right now.

    Fun, but..

game eventually gets old like all games.... I feel like something is missing out which would make the game a whole lot better.. Sometimes I get on everyday just to do the “Lucky Strike” and get lucky and earn xp lvl’ing up just doing that (watching advertisements) and not play the game at all... And now being Lvl 19, I have yet to try any tournaments.... I think legendary fish should have some kind of distinct marking just like the shiny fish that carry a lure. I get the “Jaws” noise, but sometimes it’s hard to spot which fish it is (maybe like a “glowing red” fish!) If you wait you’ll see it and it’s bigger and will stand out. When it hits the lure don’t swipe up yet to set the hook, you’ll here a distinct noise when it bites just to be safe. And the KEY to catching a Legendary fish the fastest way is to keep casting 20, 30, or even over 50 times until you hear the “JAWS noise” at the HOTSPOT where the fish jump out. Game does become repetitive eventually but I still play it time to time.... This game does have potential that’s for sure. Like I said something is missing or lacking in the game which would make it a really great fishing game.

    Great Game! When it works...

Fantastic graphics and game play, by far the best IOS fishing game I have found for the iPad. Biggest issue is the videos to continue a tournament load only about half the time, then demand gold to continue. If I waited 30 seconds watching a fish spinning in a holding pattern while searching for an ad to show me and the app doesn't work, don't make me pay to continue.. That's ridiculous. I have paid in good money to upgrade rods, reels etc to play. I don't mind paying to play, but when the game doesn't work that's just crap. I see I am hardly the first to have this issue Support seems to have a standard response that it's our fault our internet is buggy. I guarantee you it's not my internet. Everything works but the game. Please fix your game or stop charging your customers gold to continue on after waiting and waiting for an ad to load. This is your issue, not ours. Thanks for listening to me rant!

    Fun game but....

Fun game overall but the tournaments are pretty much crap. 5 minutes to catch the 5 heaviest fish. Apparently you can buy more time by watching videos but I look at the leaderboards and people are catching 200 lbs of fish in a tournament. Yea apparently they are watching all the videos and using all the time available to them but it takes me 2 and a half or three minutes if you include waiting on the bite to even catch a decent fish so I'm supposed to believe these people are catching 5 40 lb fish in 25 minutes at the most to get their 200 lbs? I don't buy it. Somehow they are luckily enough to only attract these monster fish and are able to reel them in in a timely manner. Right. And takes too long to earn silver. But I can say at work when I'm not busy I've had fun playing this game but deffinately needs some adjustments to tourneys and the monetary system.

Game is good, support- not so much

Game is great. I recently downloaded and have enjoyed playing. I have not experienced any crashes thus far. I like that I am able to play the game and progress decently without having to use real money. I did take advantage of earning free gold bars by downloading a solitaire game with link provided. Just had to win 2 games and you’re rewarded. The app shows that I completed it and was rewarded, however I was not actually rewarded. You’re able to submit a ticket to support with the problem. I was emailed back within 15 seconds of submitting saying “great news! You did complete and were awarded” which is incorrect. Now I cannot figure out how to submit another ticket for the problem. Other than that trouble, I still enjoy playing the game but would actually like to have my free gold bars 😑

Hey! Please read this before buying this game

So, there are some ups.... And lots of downs!!!!! You see, my good friend told me about this game, and at first it was great! I was great at and loved to play the tournaments, and I almost even caught and shark! But, I recently started playing it again, and I’m not as impressed. I am very very disappointed! ☹️ You can’t really do anything, to even fish you need to pay 150 coins, and coins can only be made by winning tournaments, which costs coins to be in! It’s a huge rip off! Fishing has all of the sudden became 10 times harder! And for tournaments now they only give you 2 minutes or less to catch the heaviest, longest, or whateverist fish you can! So, if you enjoy playing games that are great then turn into a huge rip off later in life, I’d totally recommend this game. In fact, it’s really great of a game in the beginning. But is you hate those kinda games, this isn’t the right kinda game, I’m sorry, but keep looking.

    Fun but crashes often

I really enjoy playing this game. The tournaments are fun. However, the game keeps giving me the black screen of death. I’ve paid $10 game money not real money to enter tournaments. Once I pay it goes to the pick a spot page. Once I pick a spot I get the black screen of death. When I restart it I have to pay for the tournament again and never received a refund from the first time I paid. I’ve also experienced the pixels messed up after watching a short ad. Certain objects on the screen turn black and unreadable. Then I have to start the app all over again and I lose my permit and have to buy it again. Definitely needs to have some serious bugs worked out. It’s fun but pretty frustrating. I have an iPhone 8plus running iOS 11.4.1. Please fix. I enjoy this game and don’t want to delete it because of the crashing. Thanks.

    Best mobile fishing game...but

Like most games, it will screw you when it can. I paid money to have everything the game has to offer, hundreds of dollars spent. I have all the gold, coins and gear I could need but there are two things that drive me crazy, and it isn’t even the fact I have to watch a million videos still. If you lose a monster fish, it would give you the option to watch a video for another chance at it.....Fair enough. Now just recently, if this happens and I choose to watch the video, the video never comes up. When I go back to the screen I get a message that reads “We couldn’t find a video for you. You can pay 50 gold bars for another chance at the fish” and it shows me how much gold I have! Like can afford it!! I guess the $250 I spent wasn’t good enough. They need to try to steal it back. Lastly, I would love to meet some of the fishermen who win these tournaments to get some if their secrets. Frankly I think they don’t exist and are Rapala bots to prevent you from winning. Example: Catch the 5 longest fish in GOM tournament. The two longest fish in GOM is an average bull shark or legendary sailfish, at about 150 inches each. The winning bag is always around 750 inches. So...whoever won this tournament caught either 5 bull sharks or 5 legendary sailfish in 20 minutes. I caught plenty of both in this game and it is impossible either way.

    Liked this at first.

Game started off rather fun, but after 15 minutes of play, I quickly realized it was going to take a LONG time to advance to the point of being able to catch more than the same 6 fish. I tried completing offers to earn gold so I could unlock new lakes and equipment, but most of the offers are misleading, often taking you to a site wanting you to complete a survey then complete 3 additional offers that involves you paying money. The few offers I was able to complete (Usually involved installing an app and reaching a goal in that app) never credited me with anything. This game has potential, but unless you are willing to spend a LOT of time and effort grinding the same 6 fish and basically the same 4 or 5 challenges to build up currency you will get bored quickly. The few lures I was able to purchase that unlock at higher levels were also IMMEDIATELY snapped off of my line by a fish the second it hit the water. Literally every time. The tutorial was also extremely lacking....basically taught you how to cast and real and nothing else. I spent more time teaching myself how to navigate the game than actually fishing. I was so disappointed by this game I felt it necessary to write my first review of an app EVER to try and keep someone else from the frustration of this app.

    Disappointed as should you be

I’ve written very few reviews of games albeit I felt the need to write one now. I would first think the devs would take notice to their reviews rather than just commenting/arguing with them. If people playing the game have a recurring review then wouldn’t you think there’s an issue? Stop trying to negate it. The game is pay-to-win. Fact. Yes, you can try your luck with TapJoy free offers but that does not change the pay-to-win game. It’s still pay-to-win. Offering up a “potential” free system for in-game currency isn’t sufficient to bring it out of the “pay-to-win” category. That’s just you acknowledging that the game is pay-to-win. The game as a whole could be fine. There are issues, however. I unlocked an achievement recently and haven’t been able to retrieve it because of cycled loading. I restarted/waited and same thing. So that is an issue. Asking to spend silver for new locations tends to keep people on the first location for quite some time. Permit required? Why say “watch video” for the first location and others only accept silver? Not a fair play. You need balancing. This pushes people away from the game. It seemed great in the beginning albeit when seeing new places were available with only silver, I’d rather just quit. Silver is hard enough to get for lures, line etc. Overall, listen to the comments rather than debate. Maybe you’ll be able to get things corrected instead of keeping it the way it is and disappointing people.
