    Absolutely phenomenal app

I’ve used this app for the past three years to educate myself and all three of my boys. Beautifully created and thought out. All three of my boys now know where every country in the world is, and one of them knows the capitals of those countries as well with the other two not far behind. I, myself, have learned all 200 countries and capitals, all 436 of the major cities on the continents, all mountain ranges, lakes, rivers, deserts, and seas on each of the continents....and I’ve completed all of the major cities, states, capitals, mountain ranges, lakes, rivers, and deserts for both the United States and the United Kingdom. I’m currently working on the same for Germany, and I just noticed (today) that the app developers added even more geography to memorize for Canada and Australia!!! You guys are awesome. Hey, would you consider adding maps for Russia and China next? I think that would be amazing.

    Great App, Very Useful

Hello! I think that this is a wonderful app; it really helps me on my quest to learn more about the world I live in. I trust the reliability of the information, the mechanics work great, and the features it has are very useful. I do have one small idea for a possible feature in the app, if the developers will see this and humor me. I often only read/see the names of the different locations on maps, and therefor don’t know how to pronounce many of the place names I am learning. My imagined solution to this would be to add a feature that could be turned on and off in settings, where if you click on a place/landmark on the map, it will say the name out loud for you. Overall, very positive experience. Would recommend!

    Perfect solution for us

I have despaired of my kids ever learning countries in relationship to the rest of the world--which is critical in understanding socio-political dynamics behind current events that impact our lives. Even taking trips outside of the USA did little to help them learn where those countries were (although they have become more attuned to the differences in landscape, food, and social customs). After trying to interest them with puzzles and games, I finally stumbled on this app. They can learn at levels appropriate for their ages (the youngest is still focusing on countries only while the oldest is mastering countries, capitals, and major cities) and I can see exactly what they have learned and how much they have left to go. It is working brilliantly!

This app helped me so much

I'm a homeschooled 16-year-old and because I taught myself everything that I now know without much supervision there were some subjects that I neglected as a child in favor of spending my excess time on more "important" subjects. Geography happened to be one subject that I somehow skipped as almost entirely. Now as a 16-year-old I've realized just how imperative geography is in order to function as a well educated person. Most of my friends around my age were much more adept in geography than I was. After using this app for a couple of weeks I now have all the countries of the world memorize and I'm much better at geography than my peers. I couldn't be more pleased with this application.

    Brilliant design for learning!

I am very picky when it comes to interfaces, and this was very well thought-out. I have been abstaining from video games and sometimes need something to distract myself. This is effortless learning. The more you do, the better everything will fit together, as countries help you remember mountains which will help you remember rivers, and so on. I highly recommend giving this a try and playing long enough to get into it. My only complaint is that I wish they would add maps. They have continent maps and four national maps, but I'd love to buy more national or regional maps. I would spend a lot of money on this app mastering countries and regions in detail.

    This app is great

I got this app in an attempt to replace my mindless scrolling on social media with something a little better. This app has been great for that. With all the various levels, maps, and categories to choose from, it’s easy to pick a difficulty level that matches my mood at the time. And I’m learning real information while doing it! Sometimes I get curious about something on the map and go look it up on Wikipedia and that enhances what I’m learning. I feel proud of myself and accomplished after spending time with it, instead of feeling like I’ve wasted my time on social media. I bought the whole set of maps. It was worth it. There’s so much to explore!

Highly recommend to anyone interested in geography!

Wow, this is by far the best (Free!) geography app I've encountered! Excellent design makes geography easier to learn, and Fun! Learn all countries, their capitals and top cities using regional maps and complete world map (Free!). The quizzes in the training section really enhance learning experience and help us retain the information we've learned! (Also Free!) I'm ready to start the challenge section after just a couple days of training (a few hours spread across two days) and once I've completed all the challenges, I'll definitely purchase the physical maps (more cities than the free version and include physical landmarks like mountains, rivers, etc.)! Love this app!!

    Love it. Fun, effective!

Absolutely love, just what I'd been looking for. Weeks ago began using another global geography app when following news and had already learned so much (paired with online searches for more country info & images, history, context). THIS APP though is just what I was looking for to quiz me. Love the approach and repetitive asking of those we miss :) I study app map prior to each 'training' (=find the country quiz), finally got Tanzania (yay), and Myanmar is surprisingly large. Visual & contextual learning is so important in understanding world. I'm so far ahead of where I was weeks ago, feels great. Haven't tried the app's 'challenge' feature yet but am happy with 'training' sessions already.

    Great App, Learned A lot

I am participating in the geography bee and I was studying for the state level until I stumbled apon this piece of gold. I learned a ton for my Bee, but one thing the devs need to fix is the placement of the smaller countries relative to the others. For example, I know for a fact since I have gone there that Monaco is fairly long compared to its width and is located right next to the French city of Nice. In the game it shows Monaco sitting right on the border with Italy. Another example is that Liechtenstein’s borders are too far within Austria’s. Fairly minor, but would enjoy if these were fixed.

    Beautiful

This app is amazing. I’m always for free education, and with Americans being notoriously bad at geography, I wanted to learn. Not only is the lack of ads and in-app purchases refreshing, but the simple and user-friendly design makes learning easier for someone as ADHD as myself. Along with basic identification of countries, there are also unlockable maps (such as physical maps and major cities) that are earned by succeeding in learning countries, rather than paid for. I highly recommend this app for anyone that wants to learn geography in an simple and easy manner~

Very good app with one exception

I have been trying to learn all the countries in the world, and so far the app has been very helpful, and enjoyable to use. I noticed that they changed the capital of a country in Africa that had recently changed the city. Which I commend. However, while trying to cross off the United States challenges, I really ran into a problem with the capital cities not being marked with a star or other signifier. There is never a chance to in the training to learn the locations of the capitals in reference to the largest cities, so you see them for the first time in the challenger. Many are quite close to each other and this makes it really really hard to pass. Other than this, great app, would recommend, but if they developers would consider the markings for the capital cities that would be a huge improvement.

    Great but needs more options

Love the app but it really needs more training and challenge options. There is no effective way to train on more difficult locations/geographic features without doing a much longer training session that covers all features of that kind (i.e. all countries, all capitals, etc). It would be great if there were shorter but random trainings, rather than only shorter “top” trainings that always include the same prioritized countries or capitals or cities, etc. Another suggestion would be to have challenges that focus on just countries or just capitals or just cities, etc than only challenges that are a mix of these (depending on political or physical preference). Thank for a great app. My kids really enjoy it!

Enjoying this so far, with one wish to make it better

My knowledge on geography’s improved greatly with this app! I’m proud to say I now know where every country in the world is. Now onto the capitals... However, it’d be great to have to spell out the name of each country/capital/river/ocean, etc instead of simply finding and tapping on it. There was one app like this for US states and capitals from a few years ago but I can no longer find it. It was far more effective at teaching and especially remembering because of this method of identifying places. So please dev, if you read this, consider an update that requires typing in the name perfectly to score correctly. With that change, this app would be nigh perfect!

    Great app for learning geography

Just got this about a week ago. Proud (and sad) to say, I've already completed all available "challenges". My knowledge of world geography has easily quadrupled in a few days. I do wish that after completing all the challenges that there was some kind of prize. Especially for beating "Our World" Level 3 in less than 5 minutes/no mistakes??? Not an easy task...and no reward when/if you finally beat it. A bit of a let down. I guess I will have to settle for hoping someone calls "geography" at a trivia night. Anyways, great app. Definitely one of the best I've ever had. Easily 5 stars if not for the ads and lack of "rewards" for challenges.
